SOLD to My Ex: A Forbidden Service Contract - Chapter 6
[Don’t forget the movie tonight.]
Zhou Yan’s text popped up on my phone screen, with its usual demanding tone.
I was planning to play dead, but then I remembered I had agreed to the “customized service,” so I reluctantly dragged myself to his door.
But as soon as I pushed the door open, I heard him shouting from the bathroom, “Come on, take a shower with me.”
“???” I thought I had misheard and stood there stunned for three seconds.
Until he walked out with wet hair, only a towel wrapped around his waist, and an innocent smile. “What, you don’t dare to come in?”
“Are you insane? I didn’t sign up for this kind of service!” I shot up, nearly throwing out my back.
He said with a straight face, “I’m a germaphobe, and you’re the service provider. For the shower, you have to supervise me to make sure I get clean. Of course, in exchange, you can turn your back to me, and I’ll scrub it for you.”
“Scrub your mom!” I cursed, my legs feeling weak. This madman’s level of flirting was off the charts.
But damn it, I… kind of wanted to say yes.
I grumbled as I entered the bathroom, sitting on the toilet lid, clutching a towel like it was my last shred of sanity.
I muttered as I dried my hair, “Which of my ancestors did a good deed to deliver me into your hands…”
The bathroom was steamy. He sat on the edge of the bathtub, washing with a focus that made it seem like a high-precision surgical procedure.
“You’re drying your hair too forcefully, you’ll lose hair,” he said.
“You’re the client, not my dad,” I rolled my eyes at him.
He laughed lazily. “You used to call me that in bed. I miss it.”
“Zhou Yan, don’t you even blush when you hear yourself talk?”
He stopped talking, dried himself off, and walked over, pushing my hair aside and plugging in the hairdryer.
“Head down,” he said.
I lowered my head, and my gaze fell directly on a certain magnificent part of him. My mouth twitched. “Are you doing this on purpose?”
“I’m telling you to dry your hair.” After he said that, he slowly reached out and gently separated my wet strands of hair.
The hairdryer was whirring, but it felt like I was listening to my own heartbeat, thumping so hard it felt like it was about to explode.
I kept my voice low. “You’re being so attentive. Are you trying to ask me for money? I don’t have any.”
He smiled faintly. “Attentive care services are priced by me as: free.”
At that moment, I almost forgot I was there to work. “You’re taking this quite seriously.”
His hand paused, and he asked in a low voice, “You think… I’m playing?”
I didn’t answer.
The hairdryer clicked off, and the room was filled with only steam and silence.
“Song Yu,” his voice suddenly dropped, “what do I have to do for you to admit that what we have is more than just a transaction?”
I froze, looking up at him, his eyes filled with an emotion he couldn’t suppress.
“What do you think?” I scoffed. “You pay, I work. Isn’t that perfect?”
“You think you’re ‘working’? Can I… take a turn working?”
I lifted my chin. “Feelings? I don’t sell those.”
He narrowed his eyes, his voice becoming extremely hoarse. “What about your body?”
“Sorry, I perform but I don’t sell my body… If you dare lay a hand on me, I’ll call 12345 (a citizen service hotline) tonight to report you for illegal employment.”
He suddenly laughed. “Then let’s start with feelings… I’ll try a different way to win you back.”
“You can try all the tricks in the book, you’ll never win me back. You want to boil a frog in warm water, but I’m a toad. I don’t fall for that.”
