Breaking Up Was a Choice I Planned All Along - Chapter 30
“Pianpian, are you and Meng Ce together now?”
Yuanyuan came rushing over noisily while I was munching on sunflower seeds and binge-watching a drama.
In that instant, sunflower seeds scattered all over the floor.
“No way, how could that be?”
I denied it.
It’s been two days since we last exchanged messages.
Well, to be honest, it’s been two days since I stopped replying to him.
I really don’t know how to respond to him.
“What do you mean ‘no way’? The campus Tieba is going crazy over this. There’s evidence, see for yourself!”
Yuanyuan opened her phone and thrust it in front of me.
“Shocking! Shen Pianpian seamlessly moves on with an A University exchange student after her breakup!”
Emmmm, the headline is certainly eye-catching. It seems the person who wrote this post has a knack for gossip.
I scrolled down. Below the post was a series of photos of Meng Ce and me at a karaoke bar. The angles were so tricky that anyone unaware of the actual situation would think we were engaging in some saliva-based friendly interaction.
Scrolling further down, the comments were unanimous in their agreement.
“No way, you’re just finding out? I’ve seen these two entering and leaving the library together ages ago.”
“This guy even waited downstairs at her dormitory!”
“He often walks her back to the dormitory building!”
The comments were accompanied by various photos, some clear and some blurry, all showing Meng Ce and me together on campus.
Yuanyuan gave me a sinister look. “Spill it. Be honest, confess now, leniency for those who confess, severity for those who resist.”
The next second, someone knocked on the dormitory door.
A girl from the neighboring dorm peeked her head out halfway. “Pianpian, there’s a guy waiting for you downstairs.”
Yuanyuan squinted at me, her tone dripping with mockery. “Oh, speak of the devil1! Off you go for your nighttime rendezvous with your lover. When you come back, I’ll deal with you!”
