Three Years of Silent Chase - Chapter 13
The live stream was filled with comments about ears.
But before the conversation could finish, Bianca burst in.
The pretty young girl bowed deeply, her face and ears flushed with embarrassment, apologizing frantically, tears streaming down.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry! The company posted the tweet, I only found out afterward.”
“That photo was private, taken on graduation day because of how I felt about Kingsley… I didn’t mean to cause any misunderstanding!”
“Can Kingsley and the senior forgive me?”
She cried pitifully, apologizing like a timid rabbit.
Her gaze wasn’t on me, but fixed intently on Kingsley, evoking a sense of pity.
Kingsley and I exchanged a glance, sensing something amiss.
The cameras in the lounge were off, and the filming area was so large–how did she find her way here?
If she wasn’t sincerely apologizing, why pretend?
My gaze suddenly fell on the microphone pinned to her chest, and I instantly understood.
Without video, only sound, if I said anything now, she had already apologized, making me seem particularly harsh.
Moreover, blaming the company could evoke sympathy from fans, purifying them once again–a truly clever tactic, worthy of the entertainment industry.
Kingsley frowned, “What tweet?”
I took out my phone to show him.
His expression turned even sourer.
Then he turned to me, “You got jealous because of this? You don’t trust me?”
I shook my head repeatedly.
“The director didn’t know about our relationship, was misled by the tweet, and thought you two were a couple…”
Under his intense gaze, my ears turned red.
I admitted I was jealous.
“…Of course, I was a bit upset.”
Kingsley squeezed my hand with satisfaction, somewhat pleased.
“No worries, he should know by now.”
Bianca stood aside, still apologizing, but Kingsley snorted coldly, pulling me towards the door.
“Excuse us!”
Outside the door, cameras and everyone were gathered.
Kingsley wrapped me in his arms possessively, declaring, “Don’t look! She’s my wife!”
[Hahaha, I’ve discovered that King’s romantic side has a trigger; it activates instantly when he encounters his wife!]
[By the way, did you see the wife’s outfit? That color, ahhh! I remember it was the director with the nice voice announcing the teams earlier!]
[Sienna, that name sounds familiar. Isn’t she the campus belle of A-University Media my brother mentioned? Rumor has it she went abroad right after graduation, the white moonlight of many boys.]
[So why did they break up? Ugh, Bianca is so annoying; if she hadn’t barged in, we would have heard the whole story!]
The subsequent recording went exceptionally smoothly.
Upon learning the truth, the director immediately changed the script.
The second task involved a spontaneous partner reshuffle.
And Bianca, originally scheduled to record for two days, was replaced on the second day with astonishing speed.
“Will this work? Won’t the sponsors disagree?”
The director smiled mysteriously.
“Sienna, do you think with Kingsley there won’t be sponsors?”
Me: “…”
Is this appropriate?
Whether it is or isn’t, I don’t know; I just know that when we returned home that night.
Kingsley didn’t cling to me, acting spoiled.
Instead, he sat on the sofa, looking up at me seriously.
“Honey, I really want to know why you left three years ago.”
