The Villainess's Maniacal Aesthetics - Chapter 15
With the groom having fled in terror, Jiang Huaning, likely fearing I’d cause more trouble, quickly ushered me to the honeymoon suite.
The room was empty, just the two of us. She handed me a cup of hot tea, her voice full of concern.
“You must be tired, Sister. Drink this. Brother Zichen will be here soon.”
Through the rising steam, I saw the comments celebrating:
[Here we go, finally! The villainess’s exit is coming!]
[But is she really going to get gang-raped? That’s too cruel, even for her.]
[Are you the villainess herself? She’s added so many extra scenes! She should have been written out ages ago.]
[Next, the male and female leads will listen to the villainess’s screams while they make passionate love! Though… with the male lead’s current condition… can he even perform?]
“Huaning, I think I left my phone on the dressing table,” I said suddenly, my tone casual. “Could you grab it for me?”
Jiang Huaning’s gaze darted to my teacup for a second, but she quickly plastered on a smile. “Of course, Sister.”
After she left, I quickly inspected the two teacups on the table. Sure enough, Jiang Huaning’s cup had a tiny, almost unnoticeable chip on the rim. I smirked. I already had a plan.
When Jiang Huaning returned with my phone, her eyes immediately went to the teacups. An almost imperceptible smile touched her lips. She had clearly noticed the cups had been moved.
“Here’s your phone, Sister,” she said, casually picking up the chipped cup and handing it to me. “The tea’s getting cold, you should drink it.”
I didn’t take it. Instead, I looked at her with a knowing smile. “Huaning, you seem awfully eager for me to drink this… You didn’t drug it, did you?”
Jiang Huaning’s face stiffened for a moment, but she quickly composed herself, feigning hurt. “Sister! How could you think so poorly of me?”
She then tilted her head back and downed the tea in her hand. “See? Perfectly fine.”
She was clever.
Unfortunately for her, I didn’t switch the cups.
I switched the tea inside the cups.
Seeing this, I picked up the other cup and took a small, elegant sip.
Jiang Huaning finally relaxed. She started chatting away, reminiscing about our childhood, her voice full of nostalgia.
I knew she was just stalling, waiting for the drug to take effect.
“Sister, do you remember? When we were kids, someone called me a bastard, and you beat them up without a second thought… I…”
Her words started to slur. Before she could finish her sentence, she slumped forward and collapsed onto the bed.
I took off my wedding dress and carefully put it on her. The gown fit her perfectly, as if it had been made for her.
I gently tucked her in.
“Happy wedding night, little sister.”
I closed the door softly behind me and went into the adjacent room.
