The Villainess's Maniacal Aesthetics - Chapter 14
The wedding was a grand affair.
Countless reporters were invited, their cameras all pointed at the stage. It was less a wedding and more a press conference.
The bride was beautiful. The groom was… also a person.
Though he walked with a very strange gait. He kept his buttocks clenched tightly, every step seeming cautious and pained.
When we got to the vows, the officiant, wearing a professional smile, announced, “The bride and groom will now exchange their vows.”
When Lu Zichen was asked if he would take me as his wife, his gaze drifted involuntarily towards Jiang Huaning, who was a bridesmaid. He swallowed hard, his voice strained. “I… do.”
The comments reappeared:
[I ship it so hard! The male lead was looking right at the female lead when he said ‘I do’!!!]
[I don’t care, this is their wedding day in my heart. I’m donating my 19.99 subscription fee!]
[Am I the only one not feeling this anymore? I’m kind of starting to like the villainess’s look…]
[Just use your main account, villainess… stop pretending to be a random commenter.]
When the officiant turned to me, I remained silent.
The whispers in the crowd grew louder. The reporters’ cameras all zoomed in on my face.
The comments flew by:
[What’s the villainess waiting for? Just say ‘I do’ already! I want to see the wedding night scene.]
[She’s not going to back out now, is she? Can’t she just be a good tool and get off the stage? Stop adding scenes for yourself.]
[Oh no, the male lead looks like he’s about to burst. Please no, I can’t look at him anymore.]
Sure enough, beads of sweat formed on Lu Zichen’s forehead. He hissed at me through gritted teeth, “Jiang Yongning! Hurry up!”
I still said nothing, just stared at him coldly.
The officiant, looking awkward, repeated the question. “Miss Jiang Yongning, do you take…”
But his question wasn’t answered with an “I do.”
It was answered by a sudden series of “pfft-pfft-pfft” sounds.
An indescribable stench rapidly filled the air.
The reporters in the front row turned pale, clamping their hands over their noses in disgust. Some started to gag.
“Oh my god… Mr. Lu, did he just…”
“So the rumors are true? They really used a beer bottle… that’s some wild stuff…”
“No wonder he was walking like that… This is disgusting! At his own wedding…”
Lu Zichen’s face went from red to green, and finally to a dark, furious black.
As the murmurs grew, he finally broke. Forgetting all pretense of dignity, he clenched his legs together and bolted from the stage, practically fleeing in disgrace.
“Let’s congratulate the happy couple!” the officiant announced, his voice trembling as he tried to maintain his professional composure. “And now… please enjoy the reception…”
A smattering of polite applause echoed through the hall. The waiters, holding trays of food, hovered uncertainly. A bizarre silence fell over the banquet hall, punctuated only by the sound of people trying to hold their breath.
