Chapter 7
Liang Wan’s roommate is as naive as can be.
When I dropped Liang Wan off at her apartment building, I deliberately honked the horn.
She looked down from above.
I happened to look up, and our eyes met.
Liang Wan accepted my breakup compensation.
A car, and a sum of money.
Clutching the car keys, she covered her mouth and ran upstairs.
Liang Wan’s roommate glared at me, as if she wasn’t the one who just persuaded Liang Wan to break up with me.
I chuckled softly and asked her.
“Are you satisfied now? You’re my only girlfriend.”
Liang Wan’s roommate is named Jiang Yu.
I met her a few days ago while relaxing with friends at a bar.
A friend mentioned a new girl working there.
Even more naive than Liang Wan.
When Jiang Yu came in, I took a deep drag of my cigarette.
Indeed.
So naive that her hands trembled while pouring a drink.
I rarely put much effort into pursuing women.
But it took me a whole week to get Jiang Yu to agree to be my girlfriend.
My friend said I used the power of money.
I smiled, “Whatever power it is, as long as it works.”
But Jiang Yu wanted me to break up with Liang Wan.
When she mentioned Liang Wan, I guiltily touched my nose.
I’m not foolish enough to think Jiang Yu is truly naive, at least not more than Liang Wan.
But the more she played hard to get, the more I liked her.
