The police arrived and took all four of us to the station. We each gave our statements. In the end, both parties unanimously agreed to mediation. After signing the agreement, we all went our separate ways.

Good news travels slowly, but bad news spreads like wildfire.

Soon, the incident became the talk of the neighborhood.

On the way back, I kept a cold face and didn’t say a single word to Li Kai.

Just last night, he and Su Yuluo were being intimate in this very apartment.

Even just two hours ago, when Su Yuluo was about to hit me, he didn’t step up to protect me immediately.

Was he genuinely asking for my forgiveness?

Or was this just a stalling tactic to keep me calm while he found a way to kick me out of the picture?
