Chapter 16
With a “bang,” I closed the door and went into the spare bedroom.
Catching them in the act today was a spur-of-the-moment decision.
When it comes to cheating, I’ve always believed the responsibility lies with Li Kai.
Even if Su Yuluo made the first move, as long as Li Kai knew how to refuse and could remain faithful, it takes two to tango.
But Su Yuluo should not have, absolutely should not have, added me on WeChat in the early hours of this morning and posted something on her Moments that was visible only to me.
She was lying in my bed, and next to her was the man I knew better than anyone. Although his back was to the camera, it was clearly Li Kai.
Her caption read: “Stolen things are sweeter.”
She was retaliating against me. Retaliating for the fact that I had walked away triumphantly with Li Kai’s arm in mine two days ago. In that moment, she must have felt abandoned.
Perhaps it reminded her of being abandoned by her own family, triggering her suspicious and sensitive nerves.
So, while I was on the night shift, she couldn’t wait to enter my home and begin her revenge.
She wore my dress, slept in my bed, slept with my man, and flaunted it shamelessly, stopping at nothing.
I refuse to let her have her way!
So, I found Qin Hao, but I didn’t show him the picture Su Yuluo had sent me.
I was afraid he would become enraged, call Su Yuluo immediately, and refuse to come with me to catch them.
Nothing leaves a more lasting impression than seeing it with your own eyes.
The deepest wounds in this world are always inflicted by the ones closest to us.
The silent treatment is a blunt knife. It won’t kill you, but it will make life a living hell.
