Chapter 6
“Just now, Flynn Shaw tried to force a kiss on me, but I didn’t agree and pushed him away.”
Damien’s features are mostly sharp angles, and when he’s not smiling, he resembles a knife or sword. Coupled with his nearly six-foot-three height, he can be quite intimidating.
My previously clear speech became somewhat stammered:
“I arranged to meet you this afternoon to tell you that last night was voluntary. It was my first kiss, and I couldn’t breathe because you were holding me too tightly, not because I disliked it.”
After saying this in one breath, I gathered the courage to look up and meet Damien’s gaze.
His almost completely black eyes slowly returned to their normal color.
Comments:
[Great, it’s straightforward, we’re saved.]
[Is the supporting female character telling the truth, or is she deliberately trying to make the male lead jealous?]
[Is the person above joking? The male lead is so unworthy; the author thinks they’ve created a heartthrob, but he’s just a greasy, sleazy guy, perfect for Mary Sue. As long as the supporting female character isn’t blind, she’ll definitely choose the second male lead (though she was indeed a bit blind for the first three years).]
“Lilith Chambers.”
Flynn also walked out of the café, looking at me and Damien standing side by side:
“You’re in your twenties, why are you still using such childish tactics, thinking this will make me jealous?”
I slid my fingers into Damien’s, interlocking them:
“Flynn Shaw, I don’t like you anymore. I’m married and have a husband. Please stop bothering me.”
“What if I told you I broke up with Aurora and I’m single now?” Flynn looked at me nonchalantly, as if he had nothing to fear.
I tried to take a step forward but felt resistance.
I realized Damien was standing still, holding my hand tightly, his fingertips slightly trembling.
He was uneasy.
“What does your breakup have to do with me,” I said impatiently, “Even if you liked men, it wouldn’t concern me. Stop blocking the way, move aside.”
In my youth, when my feelings first blossomed, I did have a crush on my childhood friend Flynn.
But later, he repeatedly sided with Aurora, kicking me when I was down, watching coldly.
That little bit of affection had long since dissipated, leaving only annoyance.
Flynn’s smile gradually froze on his face.
I glanced at my phone, seeing dozens of missed calls.
The candlelit dinner we had planned was already half an hour late.
It’s probably ruined.
“Damien, let’s go home.”
“Alright.”
Damien’s limited edition Rolls-Royce was parked across the street.
Until I sat in the passenger seat, I didn’t look back at Flynn once.
Comments:
[The supporting female character is so beautiful, I love her. Now I truly believe Lilith doesn’t like the male lead.]
[The male lead’s setting is just disgusting, constantly breaking up and getting back together with the female lead while coveting the supporting female character’s stunning beauty, making advances. Our Lilith’s princess attitude won’t tolerate him.]
