My Yandere Husband - Chapter 11
Even Flynn and his parents couldn’t agree with Aurora’s unreasonable arguments.
They couldn’t even find words to defend themselves.
“Oh, by the way, Lilith just mentioned that you could retaliate against her. But I suggest you don’t. Of course, if you’re fearless, you can try. I hope everyone enjoys the dinner tonight. Apologies, Lilith’s dress got dirty, so we’ll be leaving now.”
Damien raised his glass slightly in a polite and gentlemanly gesture, but his gaze was as cold as frost.
Around the perimeter of the banquet stood a circle of muscular, upright men who nodded simultaneously.
The pressure was palpable.
For the first time, I felt the real presence of Damien’s image as a kingpin who straddles both the underworld and the legitimate world.
I used to think it was just a joke.
If I had discovered this side of him during our arranged marriage three years ago, I might have chickened out on the spot.
After all, it wasn’t worth risking my life just to spite Flynn, that scumbag.
“Are those men bodyguards?” I asked quietly.
“Yes.” Damien led me out of the venue.
“Why haven’t I seen them before?”
“I don’t usually bring them along.”
“Then why did you bring them this time?”
Damien replied calmly, “To back you up.”
“If, hypothetically speaking, Aurora or Flynn or some random person attacked me, would they intervene?”
“They would.”
“But if they just slapped me, and your bodyguards punched them, they might end up half-dead. Isn’t that a bit unfair, a slap versus half a life?”
Damien ruffled my hair:
“It’s different, you can’t compare it like that. A slap on your face is worth more than ten of their lives.”
Comments:
[Villain couple, you truly live up to the name…]
[Oh my, male lead number two, you’ve been so gentle in front of the supporting female character lately, I almost forgot you’re a dark, crawling psycho.]
[This face-slapping is so satisfying! It’s so thrilling it makes my scalp tingle, I wish I could immediately devour five spicy rabbit heads.]
[Wow, guess what I just discovered. In the latest update of this book, the villain couple has become the main characters. Seems the author realized their immense popularity.]
[Though we haven’t seen any captivity play, I bet you two have played with chains and toys quite a bit. Lilith, Damien, you poor souls, be happy.]
That was the last comment I saw.
Even though I knew they couldn’t see it, I silently replied:
“Thank you, we will be happy.”
