My Yandere Husband - Chapter 12
“Damien, shall we play a quick question and answer game?”
The winter night’s wind was biting cold.
Soaking in the villa’s hot spring with Damien, I couldn’t resist seeking some amusement.
“Alright, ask away.”
Damien massaged my ankle, sore from a day in high heels, his smile faint:
“Am I your white moonlight?”
“Yes.”
“When did you fall in love with me?”
“Thirteen, maybe even earlier. Back then, I revealed my Incubus form like my mother, and the family found out. They fed me medicine, electrocuted me, and dressed me in bizarre outfits to hide it. At school, you were the only one willing to approach me…”
I was somewhat surprised:
“I remember now, you were that little boy from class ten next door! You never spoke, I thought you were a mute who loved cosplay. As the discipline committee member, I had to take extra care of you. But if you liked me, why didn’t you pursue me?”
“There were many outstanding people around you, I didn’t want to hold you back…”
I asked, “Next question, when was the last time you lied?”
“Just now.”
Damien caressed my skin, inch by inch, from my ankle upward, obsessed:
“The real answer to that question is, I want you to belong only to me, to have eyes for no one else, for your joys and sorrows, love and hate, to be mine…”
“Oh?” I rested my leg on the man’s shoulder, “Then why didn’t you do it?”
“I couldn’t bear to.”
“When was the last time you wanted to do it?”
“When you mentioned divorce.”
“Choose between leaving you or dying.”
Without hesitation, Damien replied, “Die.”
His voice carried a faint hoarseness, his tail gently slapped the water’s surface.
“Don’t rush, last question, do you think I like you?”
Through the light mist, I smiled brightly at Damien.
“Lilith, having you by my side is already wonderful…”
I raised an eyebrow, cutting off his words:
“Damien, you fool, I love you. Though I can’t pinpoint the exact time and reason for this feeling like you can, I’m sure, I love you… mm.”
The rest of the words shattered in my throat.
Ripples spread across the water.
I seemed to hear Damien crying.
He didn’t know, I too had told a small lie.
Abandoned by my parents since childhood, left at my elderly grandparents’ home.
Not a single peer to talk to.
Extreme material satisfaction corresponded with absolute spiritual poverty.
At the age when care was most needed, love was severely lacking.
So I yearned for someone who, after witnessing all my flaws, would love me fiercely until death, defying genetic instincts, placing me above his own life.
Never betray, always passionate.
Damien was the only one who achieved this.
Thus, I was destined to fall in love with him.
For the rest of our lives, let’s sink together.
