My Contract Husband Won't Behave - Chapter 53
Bo Jiusi stared at her for two seconds. Then he raised a hand, caught her chin between his fingers, and stroked her delicate jaw.
His grip was light, yet carried absolute control.
Forced to lift her face, Nie Jingzhi found herself staring into his dark, bottomless eyes. Her heartbeat inexplicably skipped a beat.
She arched a brow. “You left awfully cleanly this morning. Pulled on your trousers and disappeared without one word. Rather irresponsible, aren’t you, Master Jiu?”
His gaze darkened.
Before he answered, her fingers reached the top button of his collar and slowly undid it. A sharp, sculpted collarbone emerged. She bent and bit it gently.
His breathing instantly grew heavier.
She rose and moved close to his lips, her breath lingering between them. “Have you eaten?”
He watched her in silence.
He had been in meetings since arriving that morning. She knew perfectly well he had no time for lunch, yet deliberately asked.
“Apparently not.” Her smile deepened, one finger tapping his chest. “Hungry?”
His long arm suddenly locked around her waist, heat seeping through their clothes.
Instead of evading him, she looped her arms around his neck and pulled him lower, eyes full of sly laughter.
“Since you’re hungry… want to eat me?”
The question destroyed the last of his restraint.
The conference room had cameras. He stood abruptly, dragged her against him, and marched toward the inner suite with one arm around her waist. His foot slammed the door behind them, severing every sound from outside.
He pinned her to the cold panel. Chill spread over her back; his solid chest burned against her front.
He bent and kissed her hard, heavy and fierce with long-suppressed possession, demanding repayment for every provocation.
Nie Jingzhi answered without hesitation. Her fingers slid into his black hair, and she rose on tiptoe, matching his force.
They tangled from the door to the bed. Her practiced fingers found his waist and worked at his belt.
Bo Jiusi abruptly caught her wrist. His voice was terribly hoarse. “You came deliberately to provoke me?”
“Of course I did.” She freed herself and laughed against his ear. “You enjoyed it last night. Why pretend to be proper now?”
Fire ignited completely in his eyes, heat rolling from his body.
But the moment his fingers touched the zipper on her back, she pushed him away.
“Unfortunately, I’m not giving you anything.”
She collected her bag and walked to the door. Before leaving, she glanced back with languid mischief.
“Remember to eat like a good boy, Master Jiu.”
Bo Jiusi lay on the bed with his collar open, breath ragged, dark eyes fixed on her.
The woman had actually set him on fire and run.
The door clicked shut.
He stared at the ceiling, chest heaving while the heat in his body refused to fade. In the end, he stood beneath a cold shower for half an hour. It still failed to extinguish the agitation inside him.
When he emerged, his phone lit up.
A photograph filled the screen. Nie Jingzhi wore an oversized white shirt, her hair damp. The artful negative space suggested everything without showing too much—exactly enough to make blood surge.
Bo Jiusi stared for a long time before turning off the screen and closing his eyes to steady his breathing.
His mind remained full of her seductive, foxlike smile.

Downstairs, Nie Jingzhi sent one of the photographs she had saved, slid into the passenger seat, and exhaled deeply.
Jin Song looked at her. “Why is your face so red? Is it too hot?”
Nie Jingzhi turned unnaturally toward the window. “The sun outside got to me.”
Simple-minded Jin Song suspected nothing.
Nie Jingzhi opened the chat. No new message, but beneath the photograph appeared one word: *Read*.
Smiling, she tossed the phone aside.
“Drive home.”
“Right away.”
As the car left Bo Group, she reclined with one hand protectively over her belly. “I’m in a good mood. Time for beauty sleep.”

The next morning was bright. Nie Jingzhi rose early and personally prepared a full box of home cooking, centered around tender scored pork kidney and whole pork kidneys, carefully stewed until soft and flavorful.
Yesterday she had deliberately inflamed that man and denied him relief. He had probably suffered from holding everything in. Today she had made him a loving lunch to make it up to him.
Jin Song called. “I’m at your gate.”
Since becoming pregnant, Nie Jingzhi had stopped driving. Wherever she went, Jin Song arrived punctually.
She packed the food in an elegant insulated container and entered the car in a wonderfully light mood.
“Good morning, Jin Song.”
Noticing the box, Jin Song teased, “Taking Master Jiu lunch again?”
She remembered how Nie Jingzhi had delivered lunch for a few days before abruptly cutting him off, leaving Master Jiu yearning for her cooking so badly that he had lost a great deal of weight. Judging from Nie Jingzhi’s cheer, another scheme was surely brewing.
“No tricks today. I’m just making it up to him.”
The suggestive meaning passed entirely over Jin Song’s head. Assuming she simply felt sorry for him, she drove obediently.
At Bo Group, Nie Jingzhi stepped out with the container. After she had barged into the meeting the day before, everyone on the executive floor knew that she was Madam Bo, that Mr. Bo doted on her, and that she was beautiful.
Several female employees greeted her shyly. “Good morning, Madam Bo.”
They had expected a woman so beautiful and favored to be proud and unapproachable. Instead, Nie Jingzhi smiled warmly and nodded. “Good morning.”
Her warm, down-to-earth manner instantly won them over. No one dared stop her anyway.
Feng Wu wasn’t Bo Jiusi’s only special assistant. Several other senior executive assistants also worked closely at his side.
One of those senior assistants led her upstairs. “Madam, Mr. Bo went out unexpectedly to handle an urgent matter. Please rest in his office. He’ll return soon.”
“Thank you.”
Nie Jingzhi set the lunch on the coffee table. With nothing else to do, she planned to lie down in the private suite so Bo Jiusi could return to a hot meal.
But before she touched the suite door, she heard two voices speaking inside.
