My Contract Husband Won't Behave - Chapter 49
“No.”
The moment she refused, Bo Jiusi bent and bit hard into her collarbone.
Nie Jingzhi gasped and gripped his steam-dampened hair, both angry and weak. “Can you stop acting like a rabid dog?”
His deep voice vibrated against her skin, breath scorching. “Isn’t this what you wanted most?”
“Of course not!” She turned her head and stubbornly denied it.
He did not release her. Possessive little kisses fell behind her ear.
“You provoked me again and again, deliberately made me angry, and caused all this trouble because you wanted me to lose control.”
White steam swirled around them. Water beaded on the cold frosted glass and streamed down its surface.
Bo Jiusi pinned Nie Jingzhi’s hands against the glass and encircled her from behind, leaving no escape from his presence.
Her legs had long since weakened, but she held herself stubbornly upright. “I didn’t… Don’t talk nonsense.”
“Stop pretending.”
His voice was intoxicatingly deep. “You wanted to see me break my principles and lose my reason. Now you have. You’ve watched me become this for you. Still not satisfied?”
Nie Jingzhi was already celebrating inside.
She admitted she had done it deliberately.
But she had never imagined that when the always cool, controlled Bo Jiusi finally lost control, he would become this wild and domineering.
“Will you help?”
The demand allowed no refusal.
She finally surrendered and muttered, “I’ll help…”
Her voice was barely louder than a whisper, all her temper gone.
A smile touched Bo Jiusi’s lips. He tightened his arms and pulled her close.
Steam filled the bathroom.
Afterward, Bo Jiusi shut off the shower, carefully wrapped her in a clean towel, and carried her out in his arms.
The moment he placed her gently on the soft bed, Nie Jingzhi curled up and buried her head in the pillow, refusing to acknowledge him.
Bo Jiusi lay beside her and reached to pull her into his arms.
She shifted away.
He reached again; she evaded him again.
On the third attempt, he stopped indulging her. He wrapped his arms firmly around her, blanket and all, and rested his warm chin on the top of her head. “Stop moving.”
Nie Jingzhi struggled. “Get away from me!”
“Such a temper?” He held her still, both helpless and indulgent.
“It’s your fault!” she complained from his chest. “It took forever. My hand is sore!”
Bo Jiusi looked at her slender pale fingers and delicate pink nails. His Adam’s apple bobbed hard.
“I’ll transfer you a hundred thousand for hand treatments.”
Nie Jingzhi instantly felt better.
After several seconds, she raised her head and stared at his stern profile. “Bo Jiusi, have you fallen for me?”
All intimacy vanished from his eyes. His expression chilled. “No.”
Her chest tightened. “Then why insist on holding me while you sleep?”
“If you don’t want to stay, get dressed and leave.”
He released her and lay flat, distant once more, as though the obsessive man from moments ago had never existed.
Upset, Nie Jingzhi propped herself beside his pillow and coaxed, “Can’t you at least say you like me to make me happy?”
“No.”
“Why?”
He turned his clear, indifferent gaze on her. “You want me to lie?”
The words doused all her happiness like ice water.
She puffed out her cheeks and exposed him with every word. “You do like me. Otherwise you wouldn’t get jealous over other men, lose control because I pretended to get a room with someone else, or let me manipulate you again and again!”
Bo Jiusi frowned impatiently. “One more word and you’re leaving.”
His coldness ignited her temper. “Fine! I’m going!”
“Where will you go in the middle of the night?”
He immediately dragged her back, fierce and awkward. “Have you forgotten you’re pregnant? Stop running around.”
His broad hand protected her belly with careful gentleness, contradicting every cold word.
Nie Jingzhi secretly huffed.
“Are we sleeping here tonight?”
Bo Jiusi draped an arm over his eyes. “If you don’t like the bed, sleep outside the door.”
Speechless, she rolled over. “I can’t sleep.”
Weight suddenly pressed down.
Bo Jiusi rolled over her, black eyes filled with possessiveness. “If you can’t sleep, we’ll keep going.”
Nie Jingzhi braced both hands against his chest. “A-Again? No!”
“On the cruise, you tormented me three times.” His voice turned suggestive. “At my home, twice.”
She looked guilty. He remembered remarkably well.
“I’ll collect double.”
“No! I can’t have sex!”
Amusement deepened in his eyes. He whispered beside her ear, “You have plenty of other ways to please me.”
Nie Jingzhi stiffened and refused to yield.
During their standoff, Bo Jiusi found his phone and called Shen Xing. “I’m withdrawing every endorsement Su Wanyin has with us. Handle her future resources yourself.”
The statement was decisive. He hung up.
Nie Jingzhi could not stop her smile.
At least the bastard possessed some conscience.
Since he had done the right thing without even being asked…
She steeled herself, pulled open his bathrobe, and compromised softly. “Fine. One last time. Just once!”
