Chapter 31
Extra: Ye Shuo’s Perspective (Part 1)
The music in the nightclub was unbearably loud, yet she managed to sit quietly in a corner, sipping her drink.
Damn, a melancholic, artistic girl–never seen one, never talked to one, interesting!
If I could make her smile, it would definitely be interesting.
I went over to strike up a conversation and said, “Hello.”
But as soon as she looked up, she smiled at me and said, “Hi!”
Damn, she smiled, she actually smiled so easily.
But I wasn’t disappointed, because her smile was truly beautiful.
I stood there dumbfounded, still lost in that smile.
“What’s wrong? Is there something you need?” she continued to smile and asked me.
“Oh… I… um… just…”
Despite my experience, I stuttered!
“Ahem, why are you drinking alone? Are you unhappy?”
Finally, I managed to say something coherent.
But as soon as I said it, I regretted it.
What a lousy way to start a conversation.
If she’s drinking alone, she must be unhappy. Asking that was pointless.
“No, just a bit tired, wanted to take a break.”
Her voice was as crisp as a freshly opened bottle of Ace of Spades, with bubbles rushing up, lightly bumping into my ears.
“Then let me take you home! No, wait, I drank, I can’t drive.
“Let me call you a cab, oh no, you can call one yourself.
“No, no, I wasn’t trying to get your address, don’t think that!
“Oh, what am I even saying!”
I was so frustrated with myself, stomping my feet–why couldn’t my mouth cooperate!
She laughed out loud, watching me make a fool of myself.
“How about we exchange contact information?” I decided to be straightforward.
She nodded and actually took out her phone to exchange contact information with me.
Oh my god, where did this angel come from!
She must be interested in me too!
Am I really that charming?
