Chapter 32
Ye Shuo’s Perspective (Part 2)
In all the relationships I’ve had in my life, none have gone this smoothly.
Yet, she didn’t seem all that happy. Every time she was in front of me, she wore a variety of smiles.
I always felt that the melancholy from that day was her true self.
I didn’t know how to probe her true feelings.
But before I could even get to know her real self, I discovered that she seemed to be simply using me.
When we kissed, it was always just a light peck.
Or if it went a bit deeper, it was just a couple of quick kisses.
Then one day, I was waiting with her by the roadside for her brother to pick her up.
She suddenly suggested a farewell kiss and just leaned in.
We kissed for a long time, even after her brother arrived, she was still kissing me, more passionately than I was, almost kissing the breath out of me, the so-called playboy.
Then her brother sped off like a racer, leaving me to eat his dust.
My brain, being as sharp as it is, immediately sensed something was off.
I was definitely being used!
My existence was purely to annoy her brother!
In all my life, this was the first time I had been used!
I was so angry I almost wanted to dump her on the spot.
But after a night of fuming, when I was ready to tell her we should break up, I suddenly found I couldn’t bring myself to say it.
It wasn’t the phone’s problem, nor was it mine–it was my hands.
Both my left and right hands conspired, refusing to move in front of the screen.
So, I gave up.
I thought, well, if I’m being used, so be it.
After all, being able to kiss her and see her smile, it seemed I wasn’t really losing out.
