Chapter 8
Mu Zejia scrambled away on all fours, hastily putting distance between himself and Chen Sui.
He turned back to make sure Chen Sui was really being held back by his roommates, and with blood still trickling from his nose, he shouted,
“I’m calling the police! I’m calling the police!”
Chen Sui just curled his lips at that, glancing down at him from above.
Completely unafraid.
But I didn’t want him to have a record.
I straightened my clothes, pressed my lips together, and walked over.
I was just about to tell Mu Zejia
that if he wanted to call the police, that was fine, but I would also truthfully tell them that he harassed me.
But the approaching sound of sirens cut me off.
I had no idea who had already called the police.
We were taken straight to the Police Station.
Before I could find a chance to get close to Mu Zejia, a group of people stepped out of the elevator and made my eyes widen in surprise.
It just so happened that the Deputy Director of Municipal Bureau was here to inspect the work, accompanied by the Station Chief and others.
The Deputy Director of Municipal Bureau casually glanced over and spotted Chen Sui and me. He paused, then changed direction and walked over.
“You little rascal, got yourself in trouble?”
Everyone’s eyes suddenly focused on Chen Sui.
Chen Sui raised his eyebrows, “Uncle Zhao, what a coincidence. What are you doing here? Did you get in trouble too?”
Everyone looked terrified.
Is that something you can say…?
Me: “…”
Last time I went out to eat with Chen Sui, I met this Uncle Zhao.
Back then, he was dressed in casual clothes.
Chen Sui had only introduced him as a close uncle.
Although he was his father’s friend, it was surprising how well he got along with Chen Sui’s laid-back personality.
