Chapter 7
I don’t know what a normal person would do first when they suddenly come into wealth.
Anyway, I just quietly went to the bank to cash the check.
Then I returned to the rented apartment, silently and crazily smashing everything that once belonged to Julian Montgomery.
Finally, I stood amidst the ruins of the room.
I looked at the rising sun outside and then at the balance in my bank card.
Resolutely, I turned around and left, heading back to this high-end club.
“I want the strongest liquor, the biggest room, the softest bed.”
“The male host, the most handsome one.”
The bottle swayed in my hand.
I stood once again in this high-end club.
But this time, as a customer.
Looking at the lineup of male hosts in front of me, I took a deep breath and chose the two most handsome ones:
“I want you two for today.”
“Take off your clothes and go take a shower.”
The two male hosts hesitated, their faces showing embarrassment.
The most handsome one hesitated for a few seconds and apologized politely:
“I’m sorry, Miss Miller.”
“We, we’re not the type of hosts you think we are.”
Unexpectedly, this irrelevant sentence inexplicably pierced my heart with pain.
I took a swig of strong liquor, smiling drunkenly.
I walked over and poked his firm chest under the shirt with my finger:
“What’s the attitude?”
“You sell your looks, I spend money, and you’re looking down on me?”
“If you had the guts, you shouldn’t have enticed me in the first place…”
The male host was stunned.
But it wasn’t because of my incoherent rant.
It was because I cried, suddenly just cried.
Tears flowed out unconsciously with each word, falling.
Finally, silently, they hit the ground.
The emotions I’d suppressed all day suddenly burst forth, creating a huge breach.
I painfully covered my face with one hand, finally crying my heart out:
“Julian Montgomery.”
“Damn you!”
