Chapter 8
I was awakened by the vibration of my phone at noon the next day.
My head throbbed dully from the hangover.
Mumbling, I turned over and patted the person beside me:
“Julian, help me answer the…”
The unfinished words came to an abrupt halt.
I stared blankly at the handsome yet completely unfamiliar face in front of me.
Slowly, I realized that I was being embraced by two people, surrounded in the middle.
As my awareness gradually returned, memories of last night flooded back–drunk and crying in the arms of two male hosts.
An entire night of nothing but drunkenness and tears.
I hadn’t intended to do anything.
I just wanted to nestle in the warm, solid embrace of male hosts on the softest bed.
To endure the pain of heartbreak with a bittersweet solace.
That’s all.
The phone was still vibrating.
One of the male hosts furrowed his attractive brows, mumbling incoherently.
I snapped back to reality and hurriedly answered the call.
Opening my mouth, I realized my voice was terribly hoarse: “Who is it?”
There was a moment of silence on the other end.
Then Julian Montgomery’s cool voice came through the receiver:
“You’re not at home, where are you?”
I frowned, my drowsy consciousness suddenly fully alert.
Oh, deleted WeChat, forgot to delete the phone number.
“Does Young Master Montgomery need something?”
Julian Montgomery paused, his voice deepening, his tone particularly stiff:
“I’m coming to get something.”
“Come back now, immediately.”
