Chapter 15
Ryan Stone’s unemployment was truly a case of being caught in the crossfire.
It wasn’t even Julian Montgomery’s doing.
It was just that the commotion caused by Julian Montgomery when he went to the club to “catch a cheater” that day was simply too big.
Ryan Stone, being the only male host he called out by name–
All things considered, that was as good as making an enemy.
The club owner, afraid of trouble down the line, simply fired him, once and for all.
“You see, we’re just these insignificant little nobodies.”
“How could we possibly handle this?”
I tilted my head back and took a swig of beer, then turned to look at Ryan Stone sitting beside me.
Under the dazzling, multicolored lights of the street stall,
I pulled up the high-speed train ticket I’d already bought on my phone and waved it at him:
“Hey handsome.”
“Instead of suffering in the capital, serving the so-called elite–”
“How about making money somewhere else with me, what do you say?”
“There’s still time to buy a ticket now.”
Ryan Stone lounged back lazily in his chair, his smile bright and nonchalant.
He pursed his lips at me and raised his brows:
“Let’s get one thing straight, darling.”
“Even though all I’ve got is this handsome face and a silver tongue–”
“I sell my skills, not my body, alright?”
