Chapter 14
The unhappy ending with Julian Montgomery.
It ultimately led me to decide on my next step after getting rich–resigning from my job as a calligraphy teacher at the training institutions.
Then, leaving the capital forever.
Is it really that hard to completely sever ties with someone?
Now that I have money, I can live anywhere I want.
“Did you hear our young master finished his studies abroad and is coming back to take over the company?”
“I guess the real estate world is about to change.”
“Nah, can’t be. Julian Montgomery is far behind his brother; even if the world changes, it won’t be because of him.”
“In the Montgomery Family, the most accomplished one was the eldest, Andrew Montgomery.”
“Sadly, he had an accident three years ago and passed away young.”
“Julian Montgomery, this idle and unruly heir, is just being forced into the position.”
“Even if he studies for another three years, it would probably be in vain.”
In the real estate agency.
A few agents were chatting about the company’s upper management gossip not far from me.
Familiar names kept jumping into my ears.
I lowered my gaze and continued browsing houses in VR on the buying app.
Meanwhile, I waited for my agent to return with the keys to take me for a real visit.
Properties in the capital always retain their value; buying one and renting it out.
Collecting rent while enjoying life–that’s the real deal.
My phone vibrated slightly, popping up a friend request.
I casually clicked accept.
Looking at the budding lotus avatar of the other party, I directly sent an inquiry:
[Real estate agent? Tour guide? Travel group?]
Thanks to big data.
Recently, everyone adding me was from these fields.
The reply came quickly, with a hint of helplessness in the text:
[These three positions are not impossible.]
[But if possible, I’d still like to work as a male host?]
I was taken aback: [Ryan Stone?]
Ryan Stone sent a nodding emoji.
The next message made my pupils shrink slightly:
[Darling, I’ve been blacklisted.]
[Can’t survive in the capital, have to go back to my hometown.]
[Got time for a farewell meal?]
[Can’t afford anything too expensive, is a street stall okay?]
