Chapter 16
Coming out of the police station, a light rain had begun to fall.
I had no idea where Bo Anzhi was now, or how he was doing.
The amnesiac Bo Anzhi was clingy and prone to tears.
Like a sensitive little puppy starved for affection.
And a good-looking puppy is always easy for people to like.
I wondered if some new owner had already tricked him into coming home with them.
After all, his current thought process was a serious cause for concern.

The villa was empty, save for me.
Even my sighs seemed to echo in the terrifying silence.
I tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep.
I kind of missed the feeling of lying on Bo Anzhi’s warm chest.
I even kind of missed the sound of his voice chattering in my ear.
All the messages I sent him were blocked.
There was no news from the police.
I curled into a ball at the corner of the bed.
Tears streamed down my face.
If only I hadn’t teased him so much.
Guilt and worry gnawed at my heart.
Even the cold water I drank tasted bitter.
I lit up my phone screen countless times, desperately hoping for a message from him.
But I waited from dusk till dawn, and no one replied.
