Chapter 15
Back at the villa, Bo Min burst into tears.
“My brother wouldn’t actually go and kill himself, would he?”
“So he was someone’s other man and got caught by the main husband. What’s the big deal!”
“Which woman has my brother so bewitched? Come out! Stop hiding, come out!”
He ran upstairs, throwing open one door after another.
I followed silently behind him, scratching my head awkwardly.
“Actually… it was me.”
Bo Min leaned back against a door, and as it swung open, he stumbled backward with it.
I told him everything.
Bo Min’s expression shifted through a dozen shades of shock and disbelief.
He remembered how he used to show photos of me to his mother and Bo Anzhi all the time. His doting mother had practically accepted me as her daughter-in-law. But his respected older brother had been vehemently against it, dismissing it as a childish crush that shouldn’t be taken seriously. So Bo Min had pestered his brother endlessly, telling him how wonderful I was.
He never imagined that Bo Anzhi had been digging at the corner of his wall the whole time-and that he himself had handed him the shovel.
Bo Min’s knuckles cracked as he clenched his fists.
But he still put on a pitiful act, leaning on my shoulder.
“What do we do now? I bet something terrible happened to my brother.”
“Senior, do you know about our family’s rule…?”
I raised an eyebrow and looked at him.
“It’s… if the elder brother dies… I can inherit everything he has…”
“Including you… my sister-in-law…”
My vision went dark for a second. I suppressed the urge to scream and dialed the police.
To report a missing person, of course. To find Bo Anzhi.
