I'm Done with the Elite Marriage - Chapter 84
Obviously, this was Fu Xunzhou’s residence, just one floor away from Zhou Youling’s home.
The door to the room was opened, and Zhou Youling saw the room filled with red roses, along with some lighting decorations, which instantly stunned her. Not only that, but the room was also packed with mother and baby supplies, as if an entire store had been moved into the house.
Fu Xunzhou gently patted Zhou Youling’s shoulder and said, “Go in, they’re all for you.”
That deep and magnetic voice seemed to enchant Zhou Youling as well. She lifted her feet and walked into the room. What entered her eyes, besides the red roses, were all kinds of decorations.
Fu Xunzhou didn’t ask Zhou Youling whether she liked it or not; he just stood quietly to the side, watching her.
The gifts that had been missing for dozens of days were now all displayed before Zhou Youling.
Zhou Youling quickly snapped out of it, turned around, and looked at Fu Xunzhou. “What are you up to again?”
Fu Xunzhou walked step by step toward Zhou Youling.
Zhou Youling retreated step by step, but unexpectedly, her foot was tripped by a gift box on the floor, and her body fell backward.
Although Fu Xunzhou reacted quickly and grabbed Zhou Youling’s hand, both of them still fell to the ground at the same time.
They landed right in the middle of that sea of red roses.
Fu Xunzhou used his body to shield Zhou Youling, keeping her safe and sound.
She lay on his chest, her heartbeat racing. Partly because of the fall, and partly because of his presence.
It seemed like it had been a long time since the two of them had embraced so closely. Now, holding each other like this, some images appeared in both their minds at the same time–some beautiful memories they once shared.
Zhou Youling’s breathing suddenly became a bit hurried. She wanted to get up, but found that Fu Xunzhou’s hands were firmly holding her down.
“Let go,” Zhou Youling said in a low voice.
Fu Xunzhou’s hands loosened slightly, but the next moment tightened again.
He acted like a rascal, refusing to let go.
Zhou Youling’s face flushed with anxiety. She was bold and carefree in front of others, but always thin-skinned in front of Fu Xunzhou.
Unable to break free, Zhou Youling reached out and pounded Fu Xunzhou’s chest. “When did you learn to be so shameless?”
Fu Xunzhou chuckled lowly. “I was just too restrained before.”
Zhou Youling gritted her teeth. “Can you stop fooling around? Do you know your behavior is just like a three-year-old child?”
Fu Xunzhou raised his eyebrows. “A three-year-old child? Then how did you get pregnant?”
At that, Zhou Youling became even more furious.
Fu Xunzhou stopped messing around and hugged Zhou Youling tightly, looking straight into her eyes.
Zhou Youling had always been unable to withstand his gaze and instinctively tried to avoid it, but Fu Xunzhou called out, “Zhou Youling, look at me.”
That commanding voice left Zhou Youling no choice but to obey.
She actually didn’t want to, but her actions were beyond her control.
Fu Xunzhou’s eyes were clear and beautiful. Zhou Youling had never dared to look at them for long. She remembered when she was a child, just seeing his eyes made her instinctively want to dodge, for no reason at all. Even now, Zhou Youling was still the same.
Looking into Fu Xunzhou’s eyes, she heard him say softly, “Give me a chance. Let’s start over, okay?”
Taking advantage of Fu Xunzhou’s momentary relaxation, Zhou Youling hurriedly got up and escaped.
Fu Xunzhou lay in the sea of flowers. He sat up on the spot, looking at the doorway where her figure had long since disappeared, and the corners of his lips lifted slightly.
Zhou Youling was restless the whole night, all because of Fu Xunzhou’s words.
A few months ago, Fu Xunzhou’s appearance would only have made Zhou Youling feel disgusted, but now things seemed to be quietly changing. Zhou Youling realized that she didn’t seem to dislike him that much anymore.
That day, as usual, Zhou Youling went to Nanzhou City to check on the restaurant. After inspecting the restaurant, she went to find Bai Lingxue for afternoon tea.
When Bai Lingxue saw Zhou Youling, she smiled and said, “Oh, what wind blew you here?”
As she spoke, she handed over Zhou Youling’s favorite drink.
Zhou Youling smiled and said, “Maybe it’s the northwest wind.”
“Pfft!” Bai Lingxue laughed and sat down in front of Zhou Youling. “Honestly, ever since you settled in B City, we sisters haven’t seen each other much. Thinking about it makes me a little sad.”
Zhou Youling nodded. “Seems like that’s true.”
In the adult world, there are too many things to do, and friendships seem to gradually fade.
Zhou Youling didn’t want things to be like that, so whenever she had time to come to Nanzhou City, she would always stop by Bai Lingxue’s place. Her life shouldn’t just be about children and family; she should also have friends, especially those who had grown up together since their student days.
“When are you going back tonight?” Bai Lingxue asked Zhou Youling.
Zhou Youling raised her eyebrows. “Why?”
Bai Lingxue said, “It’s been a long time since we went to Congshi’s bar to have some fun.”
Zhou Youling understood Bai Lingxue’s meaning and said, “Alright, let’s go have fun tonight.”
Many people believe that after having a child, your focus should be on the family.
Zhou Youling was already different from most people. She didn’t spend much time at home; instead, she was always running between her two restaurants. Besides that, Zhou Youling was also busy participating in Huo Lianghan’s food video shoots. You could say she was stretched thin.
In this situation, going to a bar was already a luxury.
Tonight, Zhou Youling went to a bar, but she didn’t stay long. Around ten o’clock, she got up to head home. Unexpectedly, she ran into some thugs at the bar’s entrance.
Maybe they noticed Zhou Youling was alone. There were four of them, and they suddenly surrounded her.
The leader grinned as he looked Zhou Youling up and down. “Miss, your legs are so slim and fair.”
Zhou Youling looked at the blond kid in front of her with utter disdain. “Thanks for the compliment.”
“Can I touch them?” the blond kid said.
Zhou Youling shook her head. “No.”
The blond kid didn’t care at all and reached out to touch her. But Zhou Youling wasn’t someone to mess with. The moment he reached out, she lifted her leg and kicked him hard between the legs.
“Ah!” The blond kid immediately clutched himself and knelt in front of Zhou Youling.
At this moment, Zhou Youling’s fair thighs were right in front of the blond kid, but he was in so much pain, sweating coldly, that he couldn’t play the hooligan at all.
“No need for such a big salute. Get up,” Zhou Youling said.
The blond kid couldn’t stand the humiliation and shouted at his buddies who were watching, “What the hell are you all standing there for? Get her!”
With that shout, the others turned to grab Zhou Youling.
Although Zhou Youling was pretty good at fighting, she hadn’t gotten into a fight in a long time. She was bold and unafraid of getting hurt, so she went at them head-on. Knocking down one was easy, but taking down another wasn’t so simple.
Just as Zhou Youling was distracted, a man took the opportunity to try and attack her from behind.
Seeing that Zhou Youling was about to be subdued by the thug, suddenly a hand grabbed the thug’s wrist. Then, the newcomer kicked the thug hard in the stomach.
“Ah!” That thug also fell to the ground, wailing.
Four people, three down, one left.
Fu Xunzhou didn’t hold back either. He went straight up and subdued the last one to the ground. He didn’t go easy–chances were the guy was pretty badly hurt.
The thug pinned down by Fu Xunzhou shouted, “You hit us! I already called the police!”
Zhou Youling walked over and mercilessly kicked him again. “I’m hitting you because you’re a filthy pervert!”
Seeing Zhou Youling’s momentum, Fu Xunzhou stopped.
But since they’d beaten people up, they had to take responsibility. Looking at the four men lying on the ground howling, Fu Xunzhou rubbed his forehead, a bit of a headache.
Zhou Youling saw Fu Xunzhou standing there dumbly and asked, “Why are you still standing here?”
“Waiting for the police,” Fu Xunzhou said.
Zhou Youling burst out laughing. “Are you stupid? You’re really going to wait for the police to come?”
Fu Xunzhou looked innocent. “What else should I do?”
Zhou Youling was almost defeated by Fu Xunzhou. She walked over, grabbed his wrist, and pulled him into a run. “Of course, the best plan is to run away!”
At ten at night, the bar street in Nanzhou City was bright and lively, colorful neon signs flickering on people’s bodies.
Zhou Youling, in flat shoes, pulled Fu Xunzhou along a familiar side street.
They ran wildly through the streets, panting but not stopping.
In the end, Zhou Youling was completely out of strength. She let go of Fu Xunzhou’s hand and leaned back against a wall covered in graffiti.
The vibrant graffiti looked like magnificent wings spreading out behind Zhou Youling.
Fu Xunzhou stood in front of Zhou Youling, watching her pant, her chest rising and falling.
Finally, he took a step closer to her.
Zhou Youling had no wariness toward Fu Xunzhou. She smiled and said, “You really were going to wait for the police? Don’t you think that’s troublesome?”
Fu Xunzhou was just a step away from Zhou Youling. He asked in a low voice, “You seem very experienced.”
“It’s alright. I was always getting into trouble as a kid,” Zhou Youling said with a mischievous look.
Fu Xunzhou nodded thoughtfully and asked, “Is there anything else about you I don’t know?”
“There’s a lot!” Zhou Youling calmed her heartbeat and turned to ask Fu Xunzhou, “Why are you here?”
Fu Xunzhou: “Just passing by.”
Zhou Youling rolled her eyes. “I don’t believe you.”
She was about to leave, but just as she was about to take a step, Fu Xunzhou grabbed her wrist.
Zhou Youling frowned and looked up at Fu Xunzhou, a hint of doubt in her eyes. “What do you want?”
Fu Xunzhou leaned down slightly, lowered his head in front of Zhou Youling, and said, “I want to kiss you.”
After he finished speaking, he kissed her lips, his hands pinning her in place, pressing her against the wall, giving her no room or chance to escape.
