Doll Survival Game - Chapter 156
Although Luo Yiran’s silver thread could encircle them, it was a bit difficult to completely kill a monster, so the main force afterward would still be Via.
“About seven or eight minutes left.” Luo Yiran glanced at the magician’s chest pocket. The silver thread he was using now was either recycled or brought by the magician.
Moreover, because the Ghost Tag game restricted the players, he couldn’t manipulate the silver thread as smoothly, so most of the silver thread arrangements were still done by controlling the magician.
Below, a monster jumped up trying to hook the silver thread net. Via glared at it viciously, then looked at Luo Yiran: “That long?”
Luo Yiran just responded casually-he felt Via was nowhere near as likable as Xia Lang.
After all, Xia Lang was highly adaptable… Luo Yiran paused, then, keeping a straight face, discarded that thought and checked the group messages: “Yuan Mo and the others are smart; they hid in the prison.”
Via had never been so aggrieved and curled up like this before. He wanted to stand up, but the rope suspending him was connected to a very thin silver thread. Although Luo Yiran guaranteed it could bear their weight, Via still didn’t dare make any big movements: “We don’t have a prison here… By the way, we haven’t run into any other players here, have we?”
“If there were, they’re dead.” The doll’s expression was calm: “The Ghost Tag game is meant to drastically reduce the number of players, and the high-risk zone is never short of ‘ghosts.'”
A hand with ball joints slid across the holographic display, the doll’s long lashes covering half its eyes: “Lin Ye and the others still haven’t replied.”
Via fell silent, then said, “It’s true their side is a bit dangerous.”
He and Li Qi Feng were fine, having survived in dangerous places abroad for a long time, so even without all the powers added by the game, they still had the ability to survive.
But what about Lin Ye and the others?
Before entering the game, they were probably just the most ordinary people. Via looked up-though he’d known for a long time, this game really was unfair.
Everything was aimed at killing them, but not all of them were guilty.
Like Duan Miaomiao-had she done anything wrong?
Via recalled that during training, Duan Miaomiao had offhandedly told them about her past.
-She had only agreed to a request from a relative.
But just because of that, she was judged to have killed someone and was chosen to enter the game.
How unfair, when in reality, there were far worse people out there.
Why did it have to be them?
“When a teammate from the organization dies, we’ll receive a notification.” Via gripped the silver thread, looking through its gaps at the monsters rampaging below: “We haven’t gotten any notification yet, so there’s no need to worry.”
Luo Yiran didn’t speak, but the usually quiet magician suddenly turned his head to look in a certain direction.
Luo Yiran had already memorized the map. He looked up and immediately knew the magician was looking toward the Central District: “What is it?”
The magician was used to Luo Yiran not controlling him most of the time, so he naturally raised his hand and flicked it: “It’s nothing.”
Luo Yiran looked up: “Are you sure?”
The magician turned back, looking at the doll on his shoulder, the bandage on his face lifting slightly: “If the young master is curious, I don’t mind telling him.”
Below, Via looked up, ears perked in curiosity.
The magician said lightly, “The boss is in that direction.”
“……”
Via tilted his head, a bit agitated: “This instance has a boss to deal with too??”
Many instance bosses would participate in the game, while some would stay out of it.
This magician couldn’t answer, and since it wasn’t the young master asking, he just gave a perfunctory smile.
The fact that the magician could mention this meant it wasn’t important or the area in that direction was too broad. The doll glanced at the holographic display again-the largest area in that direction was the Central District, but there were other areas as well.
Below, another monster let out a terrifying and bizarre sound. Via looked down and happened to see countless tiny worms in the monster’s gaping mouth.
He was disgusted: “Doll, how much time is left!”
Luo Yiran looked up: “Less than three minutes.”
Via made small adjustments to his posture in preparation, his round face full of resentment as he glared at the monsters below-
Let’s see if, in three minutes, he doesn’t crush this bunch to pieces!!
“Hmm…” Yi Yuefeng was wearing a loose black robe, his abs faintly visible. He looked at the broken glass on the ground, then up at the top of his building: “What happened here?”
A man beside him was a bit flustered: “We’re, we’re not sure yet.”
Yi Yuefeng usually liked to handle certain “matters” on the rooftop, so when they heard the commotion, they didn’t dare go up. As for the surveillance, they didn’t dare leave it running up there either.
“No idea.” Yi Yuefeng withdrew his gaze and looked at the woman wrapped in gel beside him: “You all treat this lady first, I’ll go up and take a look.”
The man’s eyes widened: “Should I get some people to go up with you?”
Yi Yuefeng raised an eyebrow lightly: “No need.”
So the man didn’t dare say more, obediently stepping aside to let Yi Yuefeng go upstairs.
When he reached the transparent elevator, Yi Yuefeng suddenly turned back, pointing at the woman whose abdomen had been pierced and was encased in gel: “This wound is easy to treat, so don’t let her die. I still need them.”
After all, he still had to find the doll.
The man nodded immediately.
Yi Yuefeng entered the elevator, tapped the blue wristband on his wrist, and called out, “Lana.”
The childish voice sounded mechanically: “Mr. Yi, please speak.”
Yi Yuefeng placed his hand on the transparent wall, looking at the bright lights below. “What’s going on up there?”
He had just come out of the basement intending to buy something when he saw Duan Miaomiao and a parasite falling from the sky-definitely not a pleasant sight.
Fortunately, because of his brother’s health, he always carried emergency medical capsules for rescue; otherwise, that woman would have died for sure when she hit the ground.
Lana’s voice sounded emotionless: “A parasite has invaded.”
Yi Yuefeng paused, then frowned in displeasure. “How much of the rooftop has been destroyed?”
“About sixty percent.”
That’s more than half, isn’t it? Yi Yuefeng sneered, “How audacious.”
Lana: “Then, Mr. Yi, should I clear them out?”
Yi Yuefeng crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. “Clear them. Eliminate everything on the rooftop except for humans.”
“Before I reach the rooftop.”
Lana’s voice was calm to the point of indifference: “Understood, Mr. Yi.”
“It’s over!” Yuan Mo suddenly stood up, and then he clearly felt his body lighten. “My spirit serpent is back too!”
He Xiaoye glanced at the time on the holographic display-it really was over.
So he stood up as well, then looked at the electronic shackle on his wrist. “Now let’s see how we get out of here?”
Li Han opened his mouth, just about to say something, but He Xiaoye quickly turned around and cut him off: “Any way except killing!”
“…”
Li Qi Feng lowered his eyes, looking at the shackle on his wrist, thinking about how to remove it safely.
“Are you guys planning to break out?”
Yuan Mo was also examining the electronic shackle on his wrist, speaking without looking up: “Of course, otherwise staying here all the time…”
He paused, then looked up at Li Han, his expression changing: “Just now, was that you asking?”
“No.” Li Han tilted his head to look behind Yuan Mo, outside the iron bars, and answered, “It was you, behind you, that guy, talking.”
Yuan Mo turned around, hair standing on end, and suddenly met a pair of eyes as big as fists.
He wanted to scream, but was so startled he couldn’t make a sound.
-It was a parasite.
Its body was still human, even wearing a City Defense Force uniform, but its head was strange, like an alien: triangular, with huge eyes and tiny pupils, no hair or nose, and just a slit for lips.
“Do you want to get out?”
Yuan Mo stared at it, still speechless.
Li Qi Feng deftly turned his hand, and a small knife appeared in his palm. He looked at the parasite.
The parasite wasn’t afraid; it even smiled. “I can let you out.”
The four of them said nothing, just stared at it intently.
The parasite’s smile grew wider as it shook the keys in its hand. “All it takes is one leg, and I can let you out. It’s a good deal.”
Li Han glanced at Li Qi Feng. “I’ll go.”
Li Qi Feng’s eyes twitched, then he said, “Alright.”
So Li Han stood up, not fully straight, and because he was so thin, his spine had a very noticeable curve.
The parasite didn’t dodge or avoid; it sensed no danger, just watched Li Han approach.
Then, with a clang, the shackle on Li Han’s wrist fell to the ground, the break showing obvious signs of corrosion.
He stopped about a meter from the door. “Actually, my eyesight isn’t very good.”
Li Han’s pale green pupils began to turn white, his hands hanging at his sides, the skin on his back bulging as a spider leg extended from behind him. “So, I can’t see you clearly. That’s really great.”
Judging by its shape, this guy wasn’t much to look at-he was actually afraid the parasite would scare him.
But the parasite in front of him seemed a bit dumb. It blinked its big eyes, not understanding. “Huh?”
Judging from the monsters he’d killed in that whole area, their intelligence wasn’t high, which meant they weren’t strong.
Eight or nine times out of ten, this guy probably just happened to parasitize this NPC by chance.
Li Qi Feng spoke up: “Don’t damage the keys on him.”
Li Han understood. The spider leg on his back flashed like lightning and stabbed the parasite. Almost instantly, except for its clothes and other external items, the entire shell of the parasite turned directly into water.
The other three in the cage were all silent.
Li Han’s spider leg hooked the key on the ground, then brought it over and placed it in front of He Xiaoye. “Don’t touch it directly.”
He Xiaoye stared blankly at the key. “You…”
Li Han tilted his head. “Hm?”
He Xiaoye shook his head, wrapped the key in his clothes, and was about to look for the key to the shackles when, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the holographic display flicker slightly. “…”
He froze for a moment, then quickly said, “The leaderboard has changed!”
Li Qi Feng reacted quickly and looked over.
In any competition, most people only pay attention to first place, because that’s the most eye-catching and most watched position.
He Xiaoye was the same, so he immediately looked at the top of the leaderboard, then his eyes widened and his voice rose in disbelief: “First place is a parasite?!”
Does he have a chance to win by doing nothing?!
