Demonic King of the Metropolis - Chapter 60 - Cohabitation Life Part 2
“Don’t, don’t, don’t come over here! I’m about to explode!” Tang Jie suddenly raised his hand while weakly saying this, his body still rolling and twitching on the bed.
“Tang Jie, what’s wrong with you? You need to tell me! What do you mean you’re about to explode? A bomb? Where is it?” Chen Shuran was incredibly anxious, her delicate eyebrows furrowing.
Just as Chen Shuran was speaking, Tang Jie couldn’t bear the pain any longer; he actually jumped high up and then fell heavily back onto the bed. Seeing this, Chen Shuran was completely at a loss.
Chen Shuran was so worried that she couldn’t do anything to help Tang Jie. She quickly ran back to her room to call Uncle Zhao.
“Hello, Uncle Zhao, hurry back! Something big has happened to Tang Jie!”
“Miss, wait for me. I’ll be there right away.” Hearing Chen Shuran’s urgent voice, Uncle Zhao quickly drove back.
“Bang, bang, bang.” Tang Jie finally exploded, his whole body seemingly erupting. The noise wasn’t loud, but Chen Shuran could hear it clearly.
Because of this explosion, Tang Jie felt completely relieved; he didn’t feel pain anymore, but rather an overwhelming sense of comfort. Then, sitting up on the bed, he was bleeding everywhere.
“Tang Jie, what’s wrong?” Chen Shuran looked at him worriedly, as if she were looking at a madman.
At that moment, Tang Jie still had a clear mind, at least he could recognize who was in front of him. He glanced at Chen Shuran and forced a smile, saying, “Miss Chen, I’m fine. You should go out; I need to heal.”
Chen Shuran gave him one last worried glance and slowly moved toward the door, while Tang Jie assessed his body’s condition and quietly nodded.
He realized that with this explosion, his body was undergoing a tremendous change, a change that could be said to be even greater than the transition from childhood to adulthood.
Tang Jie furrowed his brows as he felt the increasingly abundant heaven and earth spiritual energy within his body. At this moment, the energy was automatically being absorbed, coursing through his meridians and rapidly repairing them.
The dead meridian that had puzzled him previously was unexpectedly opened.
“Could this be the legendary Ren and Du meridians1?” Tang Jie thought with joy, feeling his body undergoing a tremendous transformation. He sat cross-legged in meditation for half an hour, and the speed at which his body absorbed the heaven and earth spiritual energy began to slow.
His transformation was gradually coming to completion. It was only then that he noticed the true qi within him had silently merged with the heaven and earth spiritual energy, forming a chaotic mass.
“I broke through; I’ve really broken through?” Tang Jie looked at his hands in disbelief. When he waved his hand, everything in the room began to move.
The main difference between innate and acquired abilities is that innate individuals possess an invisible force of control. This force can manipulate objects and even influence others’ thoughts. Of course, innate masters are also significantly stronger than acquired ones, primarily because the true qi in innate masters is much more refined.
At this moment, upon realizing the changes in his true qi, Tang Jie felt a rush of joy-this was indeed a sign of a breakthrough.
With a wave of his hand, everything in the room shifted, and as Tang Jie’s control grew stronger, the speed of these movements increased as well.
To his astonishment, he was able to lift a pot of water from thin air. The pot wasn’t particularly heavy, but it weighed at least 5 kilograms. Even an ordinary person would feel its weight when lifting it, yet Tang Jie managed to pick it up with his telekinetic ability.
While Tang Jie practiced alone in the room, downstairs at Chen’s villa, Uncle Zhao hurriedly parked the car and rushed upstairs. Upon seeing Chen Shuran, he asked anxiously, “Miss, how is Tang?”
“I don’t think he’s going to die. He told me to leave, saying he needed to heal.”
“Oh, what exactly happened?” Uncle Zhao inquired, his tone laced with worry.
Chen Shuran shook her head, looking toward the door. After recalling the frightening scene, she said, “I just saw him explode; it left me in shock, so I can’t remember what happened afterward.”
“Explode? Are you sure you didn’t misinterpret it?” Uncle Zhao tilted his head, questioning her, his brows deeply furrowed. After a moment, he relaxed them again.
At the entrance of Tang Jie’s bedroom, Uncle Zhao nodded slightly and said, “Hmph, blind man, you certainly didn’t go back on your word.”
What no one knew was that the blind man was actually Uncle Zhao’s friend. However, the blind man’s abilities far surpassed Uncle Zhao’s. Ever since Tang Jie agreed to help Uncle Zhao, the blind man had also decided to lend a hand, so Uncle Zhao explained the situation to him.
Upon hearing this, the blind man eagerly agreed to Uncle Zhao’s request. Initially, Uncle Zhao thought the blind man was joking, but it was clear now that the blind man was indeed helping Tang Jie.
With this thought, Uncle Zhao felt a wave of relief wash over him. He glanced at Chen Shuran, who still wore an expression of worry, and said, “Miss, Tang really is fine. You don’t need to worry any longer.”
“What? Uncle Zhao, look at him! How can he be fine?”
“Miss, this is a normal phenomenon. For those of us who practice martial arts, experiencing this sort of change is completely common. Why don’t you go get some rest? I’ll keep watch here.” As he spoke, Uncle Zhao gently nudged Chen Shuran’s back.
Hearing this, Chen Shuran’s tightly furrowed brows began to relax a bit. She glanced at Uncle Zhao, then at Tang Jie’s door, before quietly walking back to her room.
Her icy beauty remained, her graceful silhouette untouched, her luxurious turn unchanged. Chen Shuran had performed this action countless times before, but back then, it had always been a dismissive turn away from someone she disliked. Now, however, it was infused with concern.
Uncle Zhao watched her retreating figure and shook his head slightly.
Inside the room, Tang Jie had completed his healing. His skin, which had ripped open from breaking through the Ren and Du meridians, was now completely stitched together. Although there were still traces of blood, there was not a single wound left on his body.
This was the extraordinary aspect of innate masters-their incredible recovery ability. They could quickly absorb heaven and earth spiritual energy and rapidly heal their bodies.
Tang Jie felt incredibly good; this was the first time he had gotten out of bed after his breakthrough. With each step he took, he felt immensely refreshed, almost as if he were floating on clouds.

- Ren and Du Meridians(任督二脉): The Ren and Du meridians, also known as the Conception Vessel (Ren Mai) and the Governing Vessel (Du Mai). The Ren meridian runs along the front of the body and is associated with the yin energy, while the Du meridian runs along the spine and is associated with the yang energy. These meridians are believed to play a crucial role in circulating energy throughout the body and are often targeted in practices like acupuncture and qigong for enhancing health and spiritual development.
