Demonic King of the Metropolis - Chapter 61 - Forcing Wang Shiwen
As soon as he opened the door, Tang Jie saw Uncle Zhao standing in front of the bedroom. He furrowed his brows and quickly stepped forward, saying, “Oh, Uncle Zhao, what are you doing standing at the door? Come in and have a seat.”
“Xiao Tang, don’t say too much. I just came to take a look. Mr. Chen has matters to attend to.”
“I see, Uncle Zhao. It’s just a small issue, and I’m fine now. You can head back.” Tang Jie replied with a smile.
Uncle Zhao nodded. He looked Tang Jie up and down, clapped him on the shoulder, and said, “Heroes emerge in youth. Keep working hard; you might become the champion of the next ancient martial arts tournament.”
“Haha, Uncle Zhao, you’re overpraising me. I just got lucky,” Tang Jie said, scratching his head awkwardly.
Uncle Zhao smiled slightly, glanced at Tang Jie, and quickly opened the room door. “I won’t hold you up any longer; Mr. Chen is waiting for me.”
“Take care, Uncle Zhao.” Before Tang Jie could finish, Uncle Zhao had already disappeared from the doorway, leaving him to shrug his shoulders in resignation.
“Are you okay?” As Tang Jie turned around, he was startled by Miss Chen’s abrupt question, who stood at the doorway of the bedroom.
“Hey, Miss, why are you haunting me like a ghost?” Tang Jie replied irritably as he walked into his bedroom. He noticed the bloodstains on the bed and furrowed his brows deeply. He quickly turned to Miss Chen and said, “I’m sorry, Miss Chen, but I’ll leave the rest to you. I have something urgent to attend to.”
Without waiting for Miss Chen to respond, Tang Jie yanked open the window and leaped out. What he didn’t realize was that this was the fourth floor.
But what’s a fourth floor to Tang Jie?
With a flawless landing, a skilled roll, and an elegant posture, he stood firmly on the ground below, casting his gaze towards the fourth floor.
“Wait for me to come back! I really have something to do!” Tang Jie shouted as he sprinted away.
What he meant by something was his desire to find Wang Dachao and get revenge. With his strength just having reached a breakthrough and the thrill of wanting to fight surging within him, he needed to resolve this matter quickly. Otherwise, in the future, if his heart softened, he might lose the will to act.
Tang Jie glanced at the road ahead, hailed a taxi, and mentioned a location.
The taxi was speeding, at least faster than a bus, but Tang Jie was even quicker. It wasn’t until he stepped outside that he realized his clothes were soaked in blood, which would easily draw unwanted attention. He quickly ducked into a nearby clothing store.
In less than ten seconds, he picked out some clothes and changed, tossing his dirty clothes carelessly into a trash bin.
The taxi came to a stop in front of a luxurious villa. From a distance, the opulent decorations could be seen inside; even a long bench for relaxing in the villa would probably cost an ordinary person several years’ worth of savings.
These things were simply not for regular folks; they belonged only to the wealthy.
Tang Jie frowned slightly as he took a seat in a café across from the villa. Choosing a window seat allowed him a clear view of Wang Shiwen’s home.
He watched for a long while and checked the time; it was already noon, yet there was still no sign of Wang Shiwen. Just as Tang Jie began to feel anxious, a black Hummer sped past, smoothly entering the Wang family villa.
Tang Jie’s heart leaped with joy; it was indeed Wang Shiwen who had stepped out. With this confirmation, he no longer hesitated.
Leaving the café, Tang Jie quickly made his way to the Wang family villa. With a few agile movements, he reached the rooftop without anyone noticing his swift actions.
Lying flat on the roof, he peered through the cracks in the ceiling tiles, straining to see what was happening below.
Wang Shiwen was seen storming up from the first floor, fuming with anger. Upon reaching the second floor, he suddenly pushed open a door. Tang Jie sensed that it was time to act; he quickly pulled off the ceiling tiles and made his way down to the second floor.
“Knock, knock, knock, knock.” The sound of steady knocking echoed through the air. Wang Shiwen had intended to take a shower and go to bed, but the unexpected knock froze his movements.
Normally, no one would come to knock at his door. His household staff knew his temperament; the only ones who would knock were his parents or his personal bodyguard. But none of those people were around now. Who would be at the door?
Wang Shiwen was puzzled, but he still walked toward the door. Peering through the peephole, he saw nothing. At that moment, he couldn’t help but furrow his brows.
However, being in his own home, what was there to be worried about? Without much thought, he pulled open the door to check, only to be met with a powerful grip sealing his mouth shut. The hands belonged to Tang Jie.
As soon as Tang Jie saw Wang Shiwen open the door, a thrill of excitement surged through him. Without wasting a moment, he quickly covered Wang Shiwen’s mouth and pushed him back into the bedroom.
“What do you want?” Wang Shiwen managed to mumble through Tang Jie’s hand, though it was barely discernible.
With a grin on his face, Tang Jie replied, “What do you think I want? It’s a perfect autumn day, the weather is delightful, and here we are, two like-minded guys, all alone together.”
“No! You can’t do that to me! I’d rather you kill me!” As Tang Jie released his grip on Wang Shiwen’s mouth, Wang Shiwen shouted desperately.
Hearing this, Tang Jie’s smile widened even further. He looked at Wang Shiwen’s face and curiously asked, “What part of your body do you take the most pride in?”
“What do you really want?” Wang Shiwen cursed, disregarding his predicament entirely.
Tang Jie’s brow furrowed slightly as his gaze drifted toward Wang Shiwen’s feet.
“Ha! Your foot is better now!”
“What do you mean?” Wang Shiwen asked, bewilderment creeping into his voice.
Tang Jie grinned lecherously, his hand repeatedly stroking his chin. “I just want the other foot of yours, that’s all.”
“You scoundrel! I haven’t bothered you guys at all during this time!”
“Hmph, do I really need you to come find trouble with us? Can’t I just seek you out myself?” Tang Jie sneered, producing a shiny sword in his hand.
Seeing the weapon, Wang Shiwen’s expression shifted to concern. He was aware of Tang Jie’s reputation; the guy was notorious for his ruthless methods. Even someone like Wang Shiwen couldn’t shake off a twinge of fear.
“No, no, no! Please don’t break my legs! I’ll tell you whatever you want to know!”
Tang Jie lifted his head slightly and looked at the terrified Wang Shiwen. A glint of amusement flickered in his eyes.
“Alright then, actually, what I want to know isn’t complicated at all. Just tell me Wang Dachao’s address.”
“No, I can’t tell you that! He’s my cousin!” Wang Shiwen immediately retorted.
