Demonic King of the Metropolis - Chapter 58 - Cohabitation
“I’m telling you, Shiwen, don’t be so polite with me. Look at these two beauties, so delicate, especially over there…” Wang Dachao said, leering at the woman’s curves.
Wang Shiwen quietly raised his head, his eyes sizing up Wang Dachao, and replied, “No thanks, Qiang-Ge, you know my personality.”
“Then I won’t hold back, come on in with me,” Wang Dachao said, looking at Wang Shiwen before pulling the two beauties toward the bedroom.
What happened next is something everyone knows, but a little incident occurred in the meantime.
“Hey Qiang-Ge, what’s wrong with your brother? Why isn’t he interested in us?”
“Hmph, my brother has high standards. Girls like you two can’t catch his eye. Hurry up and take off your clothes,” Wang Dachao shouted with a lewd grin.
Without saying a word, the woman quickly stripped off her top, and finally yanked down her panties, while Wang Dachao had already taken off his jeans.
As the woman let out a sultry cry, Wang Dachao had already begun his beastly behavior, his hands wandering toward the curves of the other woman.
Wang Shiwen, feeling bored, quietly glanced out the window at the street and then called one of his underlings.
“Hello? What did you say? You’re telling me Chen Shuran isn’t dead?” Wang Shiwen exclaimed, clearly agitated. He strongly disagreed with Wang Dachao’s plan to kill Chen Shuran, as his only enemy was Tang Jie.
Hearing that Chen Shuran was alive instantly filled Wang Shiwen with joy, and he mentally praised Tang Jie for it.
In Chen’s villa, Tang Jie had been asleep for three whole days. When he finally awoke from his slumber, Chen Shuran was already wandering around the living room.
“Xiao Tang, you’re finally awake!” Uncle Zhao hurried over as soon as he saw Tang Jie rise from the sofa.
Tang Jie got up and took a look around the somewhat unfamiliar Chen’s villa. After a moment of contemplation, he asked, “When did I fall asleep? How did I end up on the sofa?”
“Well, Xiao Tang, that day you finished your pill cultivation, then walked over to the sofa and fell asleep. Knowing you were exhausted, we didn’t want to disturb you.”
“What day is it? Are you saying I’ve been asleep for several days?”
“Yes, you’ve been out for a full three days. You must be really exhausted. I’ll have the servants make you some chicken soup to help you recover,” Uncle Zhao said, then shouted toward a distant spot.
“Hey, hurry up and make some food!”
From the other direction in the living room came a crisp response: “Okay!”
“Xiao Tang, wait here, I’ll quickly call Mr. Chen down,” Uncle Zhao said as he hurriedly dashed upstairs.
At that moment, Tang Jie, feeling a throbbing headache, had no time to worry about Uncle Zhao. He touched his pounding head and barely used his true qi to calm the chaotic heaven and earth spiritual energy within him.
However, the spiritual energy inside him was much stronger than his true qi, and the calming effect only lasted for a moment.
Tang Jie quickly pulled out an iron piece and infused it with the heaven and earth spiritual energy from within. As he did this, the scene before him left him in shock. The process of the spiritual energy pouring into the iron piece was completely different from how his true qi interacted with it.
What Tang Jie saw now was the grand method of absorbing heaven and earth spiritual energy. He instantly felt that the spiritual energy within him was being guided onto the right path by this cultivation method.
In an instant, the heaven and earth spiritual energy within Tang Jie settled down, becoming incredibly tranquil, only flowing rhythmically through his meridians.
Tang Jie finally felt a bit more at ease, so he put away the iron piece and looked up the stairs. Coming down were Chen Jiankai and Uncle Zhao, both of them staring intently in Tang Jie’s direction.
Tang Jie was taken aback and examined himself, trying to figure out what was wrong.
As soon as they reached the bottom of the stairs, Chen Jiankai hugged Tang Jie, continuously saying, “Xiao Tang, if it weren’t for you, I really wouldn’t know what I would have done. Thank you, thank you.”
“Uncle Chen, you don’t need to be so polite. Protecting Miss Chen is part of my responsibility; I’m just doing my job,” Tang Jie replied.
“Xiao Tang, what exactly did you do? We all saw it; you don’t need to be modest,” Chen Jiankai said as he walked over to the sofa and plopped down on it.
Tang Jie nodded and glanced at Uncle Zhao, who looked equally pleased, as if something good were about to happen.
“Mysterious…” Tang Jie muttered to himself and looked back at Chen Jiankai’s face.
“Xiao Tang, I really want to change the nature of your assignment this time,” Chen Jiankai said, taking a sip of tea.
Tang Jie paused and quickly asked, “What do you mean by changing the nature of the assignment?”
“Well, I want you to provide personal protection for my daughter and move into this villa with us,” Chen Jiankai said calmly. However, as soon as he said this, Tang Jie’s expression shifted dramatically.
“W-What? How can that be?”
Tang Jie lowered his head shyly. Providing personal protection really meant cohabitation. He was still innocent-he hadn’t even held a girl’s hand before. How could he accept living together like this?
“Xiao Tang, don’t turn this down. I trust you, which is why I want you to move in. That’s all I’m going to say about it,” Chen Jiankai insisted.
“Uh…” Tang Jie pouted. After all, Chen Jiankai was his employer, and employers could indeed change the nature of assignments at any time. What if Chen Jiankai wanted Tang Jie to protect Chen Shuran for the rest of his life? What would he do then?
With that thought, Tang Jie frowned and suddenly came up with a potential excuse, quickly saying, “Uncle Chen, Miss Chen probably won’t agree to this, right?”
“Haha, Xiao Tang, you don’t need to worry about that,” Chen Jiankai chuckled.
