Transmigrated as a Spoiled Girl and Stuck with the Villain - Chapter 8
Chapter 8
My face flushed instantly.
Even though Xie Huaiyan was a psychotic villain, as a boyfriend, he was the perfect existence who provided a complete sense of security.
He was so flawless that I couldn’t find a single thing to complain about.
Thus, I had no choice but to stumble through an excuse for my behavior:
“Don’t be annoyed with me, husband. Actually, I just feel very insecure. I want you to be by my side all the time, with eyes only for me… that’s why I got a bit emotional…”
“Okay.”
Xie Huaiyan interrupted me.
With a flick of his slender fingers, he produced a pair of silver handcuffs from out of nowhere.
While the smile at the corner of his mouth was as gentle as jade, under the dim lighting, it appeared exceptionally morbid and obsessive.
“Since that’s the case, let’s lock ourselves together so we’re never apart. Okay, Baby?”
My expression froze instantly, and I reflexively took a step back.
…He has to be joking.
What normal person carries handcuffs around with them?
But Xie Huaiyan’s expression didn’t look like he was joking at all. He closed in on me, step by deliberate step.
His tone was light, yet every word felt like it was stepping directly on my heart.
“You were so proactive tonight. Can I interpret that as you missing me very much?”
I opened my mouth to defend myself, but in the next moment, he had already pinned me against the wall, lowering his head for a deep kiss.
His scorching breath ignited everything instantly.
Xie Huaiyan’s unique scent, warmth, and touch… aggressively invaded my world.
My breathing became labored, and I was forced to tilt my head back.
Then, I heard a sharp click. My wrist was locked in the cold metal of the handcuffs.
Xie Huaiyan whispered in my ear:
“Don’t worry, Baby. We’ll never be apart.”
…
Fortunately, although Xie Huaiyan was a psycho, he didn’t actually keep me handcuffed for life after hearing me cry and say I was just joking.
However, as a punishment, he kept me cuffed for the entire night.
When I got out of bed the next morning, my waist was so sore it felt like it was falling apart.
I could only rub my lower back while conducting a somber post-mortem on my failure-
I thought I had successfully faked being over-possessive, but I hadn’t expected his possessiveness to be off the charts.
I had truly walked right into his trap.
It seemed that my plan to annoy Xie Huaiyan into kicking me out by being clingy wasn’t going to work.
After all, Xie Huaiyan’s brain functioned differently from normal people.
Me clinging to him didn’t annoy him.
Instead, he enjoyed it.
So, I had to pull the System aside to change strategies once again.
This time, the System pondered for a long while before finally coming up with a method targeted at Xie Huaiyan.
“Host, I think I’ve figured it out. A possessive freak like Xie Huaiyan probably just likes clingy people.”
“So, you should do the opposite. Act aggressive.”
I listened, dazed. “How do I do that specifically?”
“For example… you could insult him with bloodshot eyes, trample on his pride, and tell him you hate him-that no one would want to be with a freak.”
“Someone with a strong need for control like him definitely won’t like someone who dares to resist him.”
“In his embarrassment and rage, he’ll definitely kick you out.”
That actually made a lot of sense.
But I was still stumped.
What kind of maneuver was this “bloodshot eyes” thing?
I tried staring as hard as I could for a long time, but my eyes wouldn’t turn red.
It looked like I had to find another way.
Consequently, when Xie Huaiyan returned to the room that evening, what he saw were my eyes, red and swollen like walnuts.
It was obvious I had been crying.
He immediately strode forward, lowering his head to look into my eyes. “What happened?”
Keeping the System’s instructions firmly in mind, I did my best to glare at him. “I hate you!”
But Xie Huaiyan didn’t seem to mind. He gently rubbed my wide-staring eyes and nodded.
“Mm, but I love you.”
“Because I love you and I’m worried about you, can you tell me what happened?”
His tone was as gentle as water, easily neutralizing my first round of attack.
I paused for a moment.
It took a while to find my voice again so I could stumble through my insults.
“You have the nerve to ask?”
“You… you’re such a freak! Who could stand being with you!”
My momentum was strong.
Unfortunately, because I had just forced myself to cry to get my eyes red, my voice was still a bit choked with sobs, which significantly weakened the impact.
Xie Huaiyan stared at me, his Adam’s apple bobbing once before he said hoarsely:
“Alright, Baby. I admit it was wrong to handcuff you last night.”
“Don’t cry. I’ll definitely be gentler next time.”
“Or, if you want to handcuff me back, you can do it whenever you want. I’ll let you have your revenge.”
Me: …
Sometimes I really suspect that Xie Huaiyan and I aren’t even on the same wavelength.
Otherwise, why did he always manage to derail the conversation in such bizarre directions?
