Transmigrated as a Spoiled Girl and Stuck with the Villain - Chapter 10
Chapter 10
After a week of this constant tossing and turning, Xie Huaiyan hadn’t grown tired of it yet, but my body was the first to give out.
Even the System was having a breakdown.
“Is this guy a total love-brain? You’ve been acting like such a brat, and he’s still not annoyed? I’m the one getting annoyed here!”
“At this point, there’s only one desperate measure left.”
By now, I couldn’t muster even a shred of interest in the System’s half-baked ideas, but out of politeness, I made a “please go ahead” gesture.
Then I heard the System say, “All humans love money. So, go spend all of his.”
Me: …
It really was a desperate measure.
The difficulty level of this was even higher than the previous ideas.
Given the extent of Xie Huaiyan’s wealth, if all his money were converted into cash, a massive fire could probably burn for three days and three nights without finishing it off.
But as things stood, this was the only method I had left.
I might not be able to spend it all, but making him feel the sting in his wallet shouldn’t be that hard… right?
…
At an auction in City A, socialites, dignitaries, and even figures from both the legal and underground worlds had gathered.
All along the way, both sides of the red carpet were lined with priceless exhibits.
In the past, I wouldn’t have dared to even set foot in a place like this.
But now, the tables had turned.
I went through the venue swiping the black card, buying out almost every exhibit and garnering countless astonished looks.
The people nearby were whispering incessantly.
Judging by their lip movements, they seemed to be speculating just how long I intended to keep buying.
But I didn’t know myself.
I only knew that I had to keep buying until Xie Huaiyan couldn’t take it anymore.
Ring ring!
After an unknown amount of time, my phone finally rang.
The caller ID clearly displayed three words: “Xie Huaiyan.”
Could it be…!
Suppressing the excitement in my heart, I tapped to answer. “Hello, husband? Is there something you need?”
“Have you been spending money this whole time?”
I gave a couple of affirmative hums. “Husband, are you worried about the money?”
To my surprise, Xie Huaiyan seemed to be amused; I could hear a hint of a smile in his voice.
“What are you overthinking? I’m worried about your hands. Isn’t it tiring to carry so many things?”
“You didn’t take many bodyguards with you today, so you probably can’t carry it all. I just sent a few more people over; they’ll be there in a moment.”
I froze.
My tone couldn’t help but carry a trace of confusion.
“I’ve bought so many things. Isn’t it a bit too high-profile?”
During these days together, I had realized that although Xie Huaiyan was a villain boss, he usually wasn’t overly flashy in public, preferring to remain low-key and reserved.
But my behavior today was the polar opposite of his style. Did he really not mind?
However, Xie Huaiyan clearly didn’t seem to care.
His voice remained gentle and steady, containing an invisible power that put one at ease.
“It’s fine.”
“Go ahead and be as high-profile as you want. I’ll pick up the tab.”
