To Forgive or Not to Forgive - Chapter 7
I pointed at the documents on the desk, frowning as I asked:
“Didn’t you see? I’m very busy.”
Chen Jianjin was taken aback for a moment:
“Alright, I’ll come find you after work.”
My colleagues were all startled by my tone, and asked in surprise:
“Shuyi, are you switching jobs?”
“You actually dare to talk to him like that.”
I smiled and said:
“No, of course not.”
A colleague asked:
“Then are you resigning?”
I nodded lightly:
“Yes, I’m preparing to leave.”
Resigning requires a one-month advance notice. I had already submitted my resignation letter.
The notification tone on my phone sounded; Chen Jianjin had sent me a message.
I had saved his contact as “A.”
I once secretly checked what name he saved me as. It was my full name: Wen Shuyi.
When I saw that, I felt a little disappointed. Why is it that we’ve done such intimate things, but the feelings between us never seem to get any warmer?
Zhou Sining’s Moments-Chen Jianjin would like every single one.
Yet he rarely liked my Moments.
When I saw his message, I hesitated for a while.
[Wait for me at the company entrance.]
After reading the message, I put it out of my mind. It wasn’t until the sky outside had gone completely dark and the phone rang, that the man’s cool and clear voice reached my ear:
“Still not coming down?”
Only then did I notice the time.
“I still have to work overtime.
You go first, don’t wait for me.”
I slowly tidied up the things on my desk, thinking that since I was about to leave, I should start taking my things away bit by bit.
My gaze landed on the succulent on my desk.
Funny to think of it-I’d begged Chen Jianjin for so long before he finally gave it to me.
I tossed the succulent into the trash can at the edge of the desk.
