To Forgive or Not to Forgive - Chapter 16
It wasn’t too cold today, and the sun finally came out after a long absence.
I sat on a bench in the park, rejecting countless calls from Chen Jianjin, and in the end, I simply turned off my phone.
Just as I was about to leave, Zhou Sining appeared in front of me.
She didn’t look well.
“Wen Shuyi, let’s talk.”
“Sure, what do you want to talk about?”
She smiled as if she was certain of victory, as if in some sort of competition where Chen Jianjin was the final prize and she was already determined to win.
She pulled out her phone and showed me a photo from Moments, taken last year when she was hospitalized in Mexico:
“Didn’t you get hospitalized that day too?
“But I was robbed in Mexico, and he took a flight overnight to come to me.”
I calmly watched her triumphant smile.
Unfortunately, none of this could affect me-I just listened as she spoke.
Seeing my lack of reaction, she grew agitated and said:
“I grew up with those two brothers. I just married his older brother.
“But his older brother got into a car accident.
“But he’s always liked me.”
I smiled and said:
“I see.”
I stood up with my bag, but she grabbed my hand:
“Please write a letter of forgiveness for my father.”
As far as I knew, the injuries on her body were inflicted by her father. That night, Chen Jianjin rushed to the hospital in the middle of the night because she was abused by her father.
After that, Zhou Sining messaged me every day, begging me to write a letter of forgiveness for her father.
After I blocked her, it finally became quiet.
