Chapter 13
Yan Chen went to the Nanshan Villa.
Before leaving, he caused another scene.
He had the air of someone who would kill me if Mrs. Yan dared to send me to spy on him.
Mrs. Yan would never let him have his way.
After he left.
Not long after, I packed a small suitcase and followed him.
Everyone at the Yan Residence looked at me with sympathy.
Even my mom.
Rarely, she called out to me.
“Don’t hang around him, young masters from wealthy families have bad tempers. If he ends up killing you, wouldn’t that mean losing tens of thousands in dowry…”
I forced a smile.
“I know.”
It was pouring rain when I went.
In the expensive land of Beijing, the entire mountain had just one house halfway up.
Yan Chen liked peace and quiet.
I wandered outside for a long time, the rain was so heavy that I was almost drenched to death.
I knocked on the door.
His face was dark.
“Who the hell told you to come today?”
I stammered, “I just missed you, you know… I can’t live without you, I want to be with you…”
He slammed the door shut.
I heard someone shouting inside.
“Brother Chen, your little lapdog is here again?”
“With so many contraceptives, why not practice with her?”
“Just treat her as a stress-relief toy, do whatever feels good, don’t worry about her feelings…”
Laughter echoed.
The wind in the mountains was very cold.
I huddled next to the mailbox.
Soon, I saw that group of people leaving through the side door from afar.
The rain was as heavy as the end of the world.
With a bang.
The front door opened.
“Get in.”
I followed him step by step.
Yan Chen tossed me a towel, his voice angry and harsh, devoid of warmth.
“Didn’t you check the weather forecast before going out?”
Mrs. Yan told me to come today.
I lied, “I feel sad when I can’t see you…”
He rubbed his temples, somewhat irritated.
“Go take a shower.”
“Okay.”
After showering, I wrapped myself in a towel and came out to find clothes.
I opened the suitcase.
“My Pleasant Goat, my SpongeBob…”
I was heartbroken.
This suitcase was so not waterproof, how did all the clothes get soaked like this?
My phone buzzed.
I looked at it.
It was a private message from one of the guys from earlier.
I remembered this guy really liked Song Minxin.
He said, “Don’t get too smug, Young Master Yan doesn’t like you.”
I sent twenty proud emojis.
“So what?”
