The Villainess's Maniacal Aesthetics - Chapter 2
Lu Zichen’s fingers traced the line of my waist. His breathing grew more frantic, the alcohol on his breath heavy on my face. An involuntary spasm tightened my stomach.
“Ningning, you’re mine.” He gnawed at my collarbone, his hand gripping my lower back possessively, pulling me tighter against him. His strength was immense, almost making it hard to breathe. “Soon, no one will be able to stand between us. We’ll be together forever.”
His voice held an almost manic obsession. I should have been thrilled by his confession, but for some reason, my body was as stiff as a board, completely unable to respond to his passion. A strange sense of resistance even bloomed deep within me, as if something was warning me to get away from him.
Just as I was trying to sort through my thoughts, I heard a sharp rip.
My dress tore and fell away.
The moment the cool air hit my skin, lines of text flashed before my eyes:
[The villainess is about to lose her virginity to a beer bottle, LOL.]
[Look at her enjoying herself. What an idiot, she really thinks the male lead likes her.]
[She’s just a tool for the male lead to practice on. It’s all for the sake of our darling female lead.]
My mind went blank with a deafening buzz. I stared in disbelief.
What did that mean? Female lead? Villainess? A tool?
Lu Zichen seemed to notice my stillness. He paused, looking up at me with concern in his eyes. “Ningning, what’s wrong? Did I hurt you?”
His gaze was so gentle, his movements so careful. For a moment, I couldn’t connect him with the “male lead” from the comments. Was I just hallucinating from lack of sleep? I tried to convince myself it was all a delusion.
However, a new wave of comments scrolled past, as if determined to shatter my self-deception:
[Damn, the villainess has a body I could play with for ten years. Can the male lead really resist? Even I want a piece of that.]
[What are you talking about? The male lead is just drunk and thinks the villainess is the female lead.]
[Don’t worry, I finished the story. The male lead will sober up at the critical moment, and that’s when the beer bottle comes into play.]
[I kinda feel bad for the villainess. She’s about to bleed out.]
[Are you crazy? Or are you the villainess herself? She deserves it for being delusional enough to think she could marry the male lead!]
…
From these malicious comments, I finally understood.
I was just a side character in a cheesy old romance novel. A villainess destined to be sacrificed.
Lu Zichen and I were childhood sweethearts from families of equal standing. Tomorrow was our engagement party.
But tonight, I would be rushed to the hospital after having a beer bottle shoved inside me, becoming the laughingstock of the entire city. My family, the Jiangs, would be shamed by my actions and ultimately disown me.
My final fate was to be driven to suicide, jumping from a building to escape the humiliation.
And with me, the obstacle, out of the way, the male and female leads would live happily ever after, having four kids in three years.
But why?
Why was I the villainess?
Why weren’t they the ones who had to die?
