The Villainess's Maniacal Aesthetics - Chapter 1
The day before our engagement party, Lu Zichen suddenly called me.
“Yongning, I’m waiting for you at the hotel. There’s something important I want to discuss.”
His tone made it impossible for me to refuse. I hesitated for a long time before finally agreeing. After all, we were getting engaged tomorrow. He wouldn’t ask for anything too outrageous, right?
I even dressed up meticulously, hoping to give him a nice surprise.
The moment I pushed open the hotel room door, a flicker of awe flashed in Lu Zichen’s eyes. He strode over and swept me into his arms.
“Ningning, you look so beautiful today.”
I felt a little shy, my cheeks flushing warm. “Zichen, why did you suddenly ask me to a hotel? Is something wrong?”
He gently stroked my hair. “Ningning, I can’t wait any longer. I want you.”
I froze, at a complete loss. “But… we’re getting engaged tomorrow. Isn’t this… a little inappropriate?”
His forehead pressed against mine, his breathing ragged. The thick scent of alcohol washed over me. I frowned, my gaze sweeping across the room, noticing several empty beer bottles scattered on the floor.
“Zichen, have you been drinking?” I asked, a hint of worry in my voice.
He smiled, his lips brushing against my hair, his eyes glazed over. “Just a little. It’s fine.”
Before I could say another word, Lu Zichen suddenly scooped me up into his arms and placed me on the bed. His breath, hot and smelling of liquor, fanned across my neck, making me feel dizzy.
“Ningning, I love you so much,” he murmured, his voice laced with a depth of emotion I had never heard before.
It was the first time Lu Zichen had ever called me “Ningning.”
And the first time he had so openly said he loved me.
In that instant, I was completely lost in him.
