The Villainess's Maniacal Aesthetics - Chapter 18
Thanks to all the spoilers from the comments, I knew many of the Jiang and Lu families’ secrets.
I anonymously reported both families to the tax authorities for tax evasion. Paying taxes is the duty of every citizen. Fictional characters are no exception.
The tax bureau launched an immediate investigation and found that both families had evaded massive amounts of taxes over the years using shell corporations and fraudulent accounting.
The evidence was irrefutable. Both companies were hit with colossal fines, their assets were frozen, and their stock prices plummeted.
I returned to the Jiang house. My father wasn’t there. He was too busy dealing with his collapsing company to worry about me.
I walked straight into his study and expertly opened his safe. It was filled with gold bars, jewelry, and stacks of cash-his accumulated wealth from over the years.
I emptied it all into a suitcase I had prepared earlier.
Then I boarded a flight to another country.
As the plane took off, I let out a long, slow breath.
Outside the window, the clouds glowed golden in the sunlight.
I knew that a new world awaited me.
A world that belonged only to me.
From now on, I was no longer the villainess whose fate was controlled by a story.
I was the main character of my own life.
