The Villainess's Maniacal Aesthetics - Chapter 11
The Jiang household was in utter chaos.
“Don’t stop me! Just let me die!” Jiang Huaning shrieked, clutching a fruit knife to her wrist, her face streaked with tears.
“It was Sister who asked me to go there… I was knocked out as soon as I walked in…” she sobbed, tears falling like rain. “I didn’t do anything, but everyone is blaming me… I… I’d be better off dead!”
My father was sweating profusely, his hands hovering in the air, too scared to make a move. “Huanhuan, put the knife down! Dad will fix this, I promise…”
“Waaaah, Daddy, I’m so sorry… I can’t take it anymore…” Jiang Huaning made a move as if to slice her wrist.
“Huanhuan…” My father’s eyes reddened. The two of them were staging a life-or-death drama right in the living room.
The comments were a chorus of wails:
[NOOO, my darling female lead, we love you!]
[The villainess is a real piece of work, ruining everything…]
[Sob… how did my sweet romance story turn into this? The female lead is trying to kill herself, and the male lead has a torn rectum…]
I couldn’t bear to interrupt such a poignant scene.
So I walked over.
I stepped in front of my father and shouted at Jiang Huaning.
“Huaning, if you’re going to do it, do it now!”
The living room fell dead silent.
“Jiang Yongning!” my father roared. “Have you lost your mind?”
Jiang Huaning’s hand, holding the knife, froze mid-air. She was so shocked she even forgot to cry.
I scoffed and advanced on her. “Need some help?”
“You… you stay away from me!” Jiang Huaning scrambled backward in a panic. The fruit knife clattered to the marble floor.
I bent down, picked it up, and gave it a fancy twirl in my hand.
“Huaning, if you’re going to act, at least draw a little blood,” I said with disdain. “This is just pathetic.”
“Jiang Yongning, get on your knees!” my father thundered.
I straightened my back. “Why should I? I’m the one who was betrayed. I’m the one who was schemed against. I’m the victim here!”
“You wretched girl!” My father grabbed the ashtray from the table and hurled it at me.
I was ready for it and dodged to the side.
“Ah!”
A piercing scream came from Jiang Huaning. The ashtray had hit her squarely on the shoulder. She crumpled to her knees in pain.
My father pointed a trembling finger at me. “You… how dare you dodge?”
I shrugged. “I’m not an idiot.”
Enraged, he raised his hand to slap me.
Quick as a flash, I grabbed the just-risen Jiang Huaning and pulled her in front of me as a shield!
SLAP!
The blow landed squarely on her face, making one side of it swell up instantly. A tooth went flying.
Jiang Huaning was stunned.
My father was stunned.
“Wuh… wuuuuuh…” Jiang Huaning finally snapped out of it and ran upstairs, howling.
I turned to my petrified father and offered a small smile.
“Dad, can we talk about calling off the engagement now?”
