The Villain Is a Chatterbox, and I'm Mute - chapter 13
The house that Qin’s Aunt bought in London was very large.
She only put my name on the property deed.
Qin Xu was not very satisfied; he didn’t like houses with too many rooms.
“Your bedroom is so far from mine~”
“What if you get thirsty in the middle of the night, honey?”
“If there’s no one to tuck you in at night and you catch a cold, I’ll feel bad.”
I pretended not to understand his hints.
“I sleep very well. I won’t kick off the covers.”
“Sleep well? I’d like to see just how well.”
That night, Qin Xu made a bed on the floor in my room.
In the darkness, I could hear his steady breathing.
But a few minutes later, he got up again: “Honey, I’ve fallen asleep.”
“Hmm? Then are you sleep-talking now?”
“Yes,” Qin Xu answered obediently.
I held back a laugh and asked, “So?”
“So you can sneak a kiss now.”
“Really? Then here I come.”
“Mm-hmm.” Qin Xu sat up straight, waiting for me to come closer.
He was nervous, and so was I.
After the kiss, Qin Xu blushed and burrowed under the covers without saying a word.
“What’s wrong?”
He muttered softly, “I want more.”
“How about another kiss?”
“Another kiss!”
After graduation, Qin Xu and I returned to China to get married.
Qin’s Aunt was very happy.
Qin’s Father was originally unwilling.
But I don’t know what Qin Xu said to him-his gaze toward me instantly became full of affection.
“Good child, Dad will go pick out a hotel right away.”
I asked Qin Xu what he had said.
Qin Xu didn’t answer, just grinned mischievously.
I hesitated, “You didn’t tell him I was pregnant, did you?”
“Wow, honey, you’re really smart! I love you so much, mwah mwah!”
I wiped the drool from my face, feeling utterly defeated.
“If my belly doesn’t show, we’ll be exposed.”
“Who cares, let’s just get married first.”
After the wedding, Qin’s Father would glance at my belly from time to time.
One day, he finally couldn’t hold back and quietly asked Qin Xu, “Is she really pregnant or not?”
“The benefits aren’t enough, your precious granddaughter isn’t willing to come out.”
“Not enough!” Qin’s Father’s voice rose in anger. “The whole family fortune will go to you two!”
“Did you give it to the granddaughter?” Qin Xu raised an eyebrow.
Qin’s Father fell silent. That night, he transferred ownership of a shopping mall to me free of charge.
“When the child is born, I’ll prepare a big gift.”
Qin Xu and I looked at each other.
Looks like we really have to have one now.
