The Perfect Plot of My Brother - Chapter 4
Chapter 4
I nodded, not denying it. “Yeah, that’s right.”
Meng Yunchuan came to pick me up so often that it wasn’t just his class who knew him; even everyone in my class did.
At first, some people teased me about our relationship, but once they found out we were siblings, the gossip stopped.
Seeing me nod, my seatmate fell silent for a moment. Then, after cautiously glancing around, she lowered her voice and said, “I heard your brother teamed up with some older students to bully a classmate. Now that boy’s parents have come to the school demanding an explanation. It’s turned into a huge scene. I even heard your parents are here!”
I stood up in shock. “What?”
People nearby turned to look at me. I suppressed my emotions and asked, “Where are they now?”
“The Dean’s office.”
Without a second thought, I left the classroom and headed straight for the office!
The middle school and elementary school teachers were all in the same office building.
The academic building wasn’t far from the offices; it was just across the central flower garden.
When I reached the office, before I even got close, I heard a middle-aged man’s voice coming from inside, sounding absolutely furious.
“How exactly do you people raise your child? Doing something like this at such a young age?!”
My mother’s voice followed immediately after. “Chuan, what on earth is going on?”
“I didn’t do it!”
The office door was slightly ajar.
Through the gap, I saw Meng Yunchuan with his head bowed, his black hair obscuring his eyes, but his tone was resolute.
These words clearly provoked the other party.
The man produced a segment of surveillance footage and played it on the office computer.
From my vantage point, the video showed Meng Yunchuan standing with several yellow-haired older boys, while a thin, weak boy from his class was huddled in the corner, looking terrified.
After watching the video, my parents’ expressions immediately soured. My brother usually liked to act tough and put on a brave face.
This time, my mother naturally assumed he had done this just to look cool.
She looked disappointed. “Yunchuan, apologize to your classmate.”
“Mom-”
My brother’s eyes widened, and he suddenly flared up. “I already told you, it wasn’t me!”
The other boy was there too.
My gaze swept over the thin, frail boy.
If I remembered correctly, he used to be on decent terms with my brother. His name was Xu Ye.
Seeing that Meng Yunchuan wouldn’t admit it, Xu Ye’s mother began to curse and shout. “Our Xu Ye never did anything to provoke your Meng Yunchuan, did he? Was there any need to bully him like this! To be so malicious at such a young age!”
My mother’s lips trembled as if she wanted to say a few words in my brother’s defense, but with the ironclad evidence right in front of her, she couldn’t say anything. She could only repeat, “Yunchuan, apologize to your classmate. Stop associating with those people from now on.”
My brother ignored her, staring only at the silent Xu Ye. “Xu Ye, why are you doing this?”
The thin boy raised his head tremulously, his eyes darting away. “I don’t know what you mean. You don’t like me, but I’m not a pushover either.”
“Damn it!”
Hearing this, my brother completely lost it and swung a punch-
Under the watchful eyes of everyone, the boy didn’t even try to dodge.
But my brother’s punch didn’t land.
He looked down at me as I held him back, his furious face momentarily freezing in a daze. “Sis?”
I gripped my brother’s hand. “Brother, don’t be impulsive.”
Standing to the side, my mother was startled by my brother’s outburst, but it only served to make her believe the accusations more. She couldn’t help but scold him, “Yunchuan, bullying a classmate was already your fault! And now you want to hit someone? Is this how we raised you?!”
My brother’s eyes instantly turned red.
But even my father frowned, speaking with finality. “Yunchuan, apologize to your classmate.”
With that, my parents began apologizing to the teacher and Xu Ye’s parents. “We’re so sorry, we didn’t discipline our child well enough. But he’s still young and doesn’t know any better, please forgive him this once…”
Before they could finish, I interrupted them.
“I believe my brother didn’t do it!”
The moment the words left my mouth, they rang out with conviction.
Not only were my parents and the teacher stunned, but even my brother, who had been about to storm out of the office, froze in his tracks.
