Chapter 10
Yet, my friend’s words planted a thorn in my heart.
Not painful, not itchy, just bothersome.
All night, my gaze couldn’t help but drift towards the direction Lu Tong had left.
Jiang Yu sat beside me, obediently pouring drinks and smiling.
I don’t know if it was because of me, or because Lu Tong praised Jiang Yu as “pretty” when she came over.
Suddenly, I felt that Jiang Yu’s face and figure were somewhat lacking compared to Lu Tong.
Lu Tong was very beautiful, with a great figure.
In college, she was the captain of the university cheerleading squad and the president of the dance club.
I pursued her for three years.
From the first moment I saw her at the start of the school year, I was determined to marry her.
Later, we got married.
Many male classmates were envious, saying my family was wealthy.
Some even secretly placed bets, gambling on when Lu Tong and I would fall apart.
It’s been ten years now.
Between Lu Tong and me, it’s far beyond what simple love can explain.
At 10:30, I sent Lu Tong a message.
“Are you asleep?”
Lu Tong’s biological clock is very fixed, waking up at 6:30, sleeping at 10:30.
It had been an hour since she left the bar.
Lu Tong replied quickly, “Just about to sleep.”
“Sleep well.”
That inexplicable discomfort vanished almost instantly.
I tossed my phone onto the table, patted Jiang Yu’s backside, and had her sit back on my lap.
Joy.
That’s the best word to describe my mood at the moment.
