Chapter 14
After Jiang Yi had led me away for some distance, he belatedly realized, “I’m your boyfriend now?”
“Damn, when did that happen?”
I coughed twice. “Probationary period.”
Jiang Yi directly transferred 10,000 to every passerby who witnessed it. “Consider it an early ‘wedding candy’.”
I was stunned. “What about mine?”
Two seconds later, I heard the mechanical voice of Alipay confirming a 100,000 transfer. I opened Alipay and saw a six-figure balance. It made my eyes blur. In the gaps, I also saw my roommate furiously sending me messages.
[“Pervert” GIF x 3]
“Twenty years of being single, and I finally got to touch a man’s abs.”
“A little shorter than Jiang Yi is fine, peeing a little closer is fine, I don’t mind at all.”
Then two seconds later, she sent me another message.
“Gu Ran choked me and pinned me against the wall.”
“He told me not to believe Jiang Yi, that beast.”
“He emphasized three times that he’s longer than Jiang Yi, pees further than Jiang Yi, and lasts longer.”
“He said if I didn’t believe him, he’d kiss me until I couldn’t speak.”
Me: “Aren’t you guys being rude?”
I wanted to chat more with my roommate. I finally understood the joy of gossiping.
The next second, my phone was snatched by Jiang Yi. Bullet comments appeared before my eyes.
[Seriously, I admit I had too many opinions about the novel’s NPC bystanders before, but I’d be willing to be a bystander in this novel. Let me transmigrate!]
[The roommate and Gu Ran are also quite interesting; author, start another book!]
[The two lovebirds just got together, and in a few days, trouble will start again. The female lead worked so hard for her graduate school recommendation, but someone reports her for academic misconduct.]
As soon as I saw what the bullet comments said, the hand that had just been caressing Jiang Yi’s abs immediately lost its strength. My excitement was extinguished like cold water being poured on it. I slumped in the passenger seat like a frosted eggplant. “Not touching anymore.”
Jiang Yi held the steering wheel with one hand, turning to look at me. “What’s wrong?”
“Did I upset you?”
He pulled out his phone and transferred another 100,000 to me. Jiang Yi rubbed his nose, thought for a moment, and then informed me, “I think taking the subway every day is too hard on you, so I’ll buy you a Porsche Taycan in Frozen Berry. They say girls like this color; Gu Ran bought this model for his sister.”
“And your canvas bag hurts your shoulders, so I’ll buy you a pink Dior Lady bag.”
“Is your dorm too cramped? The other day I looked at a 300-square-meter apartment by the river. How about you move there when you get into graduate school?”
“Let me think, is the money not enough to spend-”
Jiang Yi took out a card holder from the car’s storage compartment. He pulled out a black card. “There’s 1,000,000 balance in it; use it first, and I’ll deposit 100,000 every month after that.”
Even the coldest woman would smile at such a promise from a man. But thinking about being framed, I couldn’t quite smile. I was crying and laughing at the same time. Tears splattered onto the black card.
Seeing the black card, the corners of my mouth couldn’t help but turn up again. I pulled out my phone, ready to strike first. I sent a message to my advisor. “Advisor, has the graduate school recommendation list been finalized?”
The reply came quickly. “I was just about to tell you about this.”
“Someone reported you for academic misconduct.”
