Chapter 5
Five minutes later, I wiped away my tears, took a deep breath, and regained my usual composure.
I knew this was not the time to break down.
I needed to save the evidence. He had hidden this so well; I had to be fully prepared.
I picked up my phone and took pictures of each of these past orders, then recorded a video.
As I did this, my hands trembled uncontrollably, and my heart raced.
I then noticed that the recipient’s name, phone number, and shipping address on some items were not my husband’s, not our home address, and not his work address either.
They could only belong to the other woman.
I saved the phone number and searched for it on WeChat.
The profile picture that appeared was a traditional painting of a small bridge over a stream, exactly the same as the one for “Su Yuluo” saved in my husband’s contacts.
Except this WeChat name was “Rain Only Falls For You.”
My husband had saved her contact under her real name.
Everything was clear now.
And my world, my marriage, began to crumble.
I deleted the order history, one item at a time. With each deletion, my heart bled, just like their betrayal of our marriage, their insult to my intelligence.
The system automatically moved them back to the order recycle bin. I cleaned up the scene and returned to the bedroom.
The sound of his snoring, rising and falling, was exceptionally grating.
I lay back down on the bed. He murmured in his sleep, calling me “honey,” his hand reaching out to pull me into his arms.
It was a little quirk of his.
He would often suddenly pull me close in the middle of the night, especially when we were upset with each other. He would hold me tightly.
The moment our skin touched, it felt as if I were being absorbed into his body. Feeling his mature, masculine scent, even my greatest anger would dissipate.
But this time, I knew we could never go back.
I instinctively moved toward the edge of the bed, half my body almost hanging off. He didn’t reach me, turned over, and fell back into a deep sleep.
Gazing at his familiar back, I felt both estranged and disgusted.
I couldn’t understand why he would cheat.
