Summary
Zhao Xihe, once abandoned to a military brothel and forged by violence, rises as the leader of Qijigu and gathers a coalition of women, outcasts, scholars, and soldiers against a decaying imperial order. Along the way, she confronts the twin brothers Kongsang Feng and Kongsang Yue, a political marriage built on sacrifice, and the question of whether a just world can be born from bloodshed. Her revolution may change the dynasty—but its greatest test is whether it can change the rules that made women expendable.
