Chapter 6
In truth, Qin Yu is quite different from ordinary people.
On average, for every 100 sentences I say, he might reply with two or three, which is already quite good.
As summer vacation approaches, I share travel destinations with my bestie from the neighboring class.
I’ve recently earned a bit of extra money and plan to celebrate my birthday during the summer break by traveling abroad with my bestie.
A scorching gaze comes from beside me, and I turn my head to find Qin Yu staring at my phone.
Seeing his interest, I casually open a page: “Qin Yu, where do you like to go?”
He doesn’t speak, merely retracts his gaze indifferently.
I didn’t expect him to respond to me.
Soon, Qin Yu’s calm voice sounds above my head.
“Are you going somewhere for the summer vacation?”
“Yes, I want to go to M Country.”
I casually invite him.
“Want to come along?” Qin Yu falls silent again.
I swing my legs and scroll to the next video.
The student in front of me turns around, excitedly sharing the travel spots he visited in M Country last year.
Qin Yu seems to have said something beside me, but it was too quick for me to catch.
I turn my head and find him lying on the desk, silent.
He’s upset again.
Recently, Qin Yu has been getting inexplicably angry.
I don’t know what’s wrong with him; I poke him twice without any response, so I simply focus on my own things.
Soon, it’s time for school to end.
When I finish packing my bag and look up, I find Qin Yu has already packed his backpack and is standing at the classroom door.
He stands outside the classroom, the sunset casting a glow on his profile.
I know he’s waiting for me, so I speed up, planning to ask him on the way home why he’s upset today.
But the next second, Yang Chen’s face suddenly appears in front of me, startling me.
“What do you want now?” I frown at him.
Yang Chen casually tosses a set of keys over.
“Your mom called you but couldn’t reach you, so she asked me to tell you that you’ll be staying at my place for the next week; your parents have something to attend to.”
I take a deep breath: “Can’t I just stay home and order takeout?”
Looking up again, Qin Yu is already gone.
Frustrated, I rub my head and chase out the door, only to find Qin Yu has already left.
I think I understand why Qin Yu is upset.
He seems to have a special possessiveness towards me.
This feeling doesn’t seem like love; it’s more like he doesn’t allow anyone to covet his favorite toy.
He gets upset when I talk to the student in front of me, and when I talk to Yang Chen, he gets even more upset.
But I don’t find him unreasonable at all; I find it incredibly cute.
Isn’t possessiveness the beginning of liking someone?
