Sweet Revenge: Kissing the CEO's Uncle - Chapter 10
Until we were awakened by the sound of knocking, Damien opened his eyes, and I got up to answer the door, finding Margot standing there, furious.
Her makeup was smeared from crying, and she pushed me in a fit of emotion.
“Bronte, don’t think you can snatch him away with some shameless tricks. I only let you have him because I didn’t want him anymore.”
“You think pretending to play hard to get will let you control him??”
“Look in the mirror, do you even deserve…”
Before she could finish, she saw Damien in the garden, his demeanor elegant and his face cold, and she was momentarily speechless.
She switched from her usual sweet voice to scolding me.
“Bronte, you really have some nerve, stringing him along while flirting with another man.”
“I’m going to let everyone see what kind of person you are!”
She finished speaking and pulled out her phone to take a picture of Damien. I grabbed it directly, and in the struggle, her phone fell to the ground and shattered.
Margot let out a scream.
Damien’s brows furrowed slightly, and he spoke with a hint of gloom.
“Taking photos and spreading them involves invading others’ privacy. If you continue to make trouble, I have the right to sue you.”
Margot wanted to retort to Damien, but I covered her mouth and pushed her out, pinning her against the wall, and laughed softly.
“Yes, I agreed to Wilder on purpose, and kissed him on purpose. If it weren’t for the opportunity you two gave me, I wouldn’t have been able to.”
“Anyway, I’ve already dated and kissed him. You can have him if you want, or not.”
“Now I’m tired of it, and I’ve broken up with Wilder. If you come to bother me again, who knows what I might do.”
Margot looked at me, her eyes filled with fear, urgency, and anger.
In her eyes, the timid and weak Bronte.
For the first time, spoke to her like this.
She nearly gritted her teeth: “Bronte, I’m going to tell the man inside what kind of person you are, and see if he still wants you!”
I released Margot, smiling indifferently: “Go ahead, if he doesn’t want me, I can just go back to Wilder.”
“In your dreams! Wilder wouldn’t want you.”
“Then let’s see.”
Margot’s eyes reddened with anger, tears streaming down, and she turned and ran out.
I returned to the room, seeing Damien sitting in the courtyard, seemingly unconcerned about what had just happened, as he focused on his work.
It seems Margot doesn’t know Damien, and Damien doesn’t know this ex-girlfriend of Wilder.
Before Damien left, he suggested I could move into the staff dormitory, the new dormitory is close to both the school and the company, but only formal employees can apply.
I agreed, choosing a room that others avoided.
It was the room opposite Damien’s suite.
He often works overtime and frequently stays here, and colleagues avoid the room opposite, fearing the discomfort of seeing the boss every day.
But I, whether to improve my impression score or for other reasons, must deepen the impression before Damien leaves.
I was deliberate, often appearing in front of Damien, even sitting in the dark at night, carefully observing Damien holding meetings on the suite balcony.
The more I watched, the more fascinated I became, even eavesdropping on his meeting style and methods of handling matters.
He seemed to have endless energy.
