Six Years Later: Wrecking His World with Quadruplets - Chapter 208
Chapter 208
Half an hour later, the mother and her two children arrived at Ocean Park.
As soon as they stepped out of the car, Nan Zhiyi spotted Sheng Shiyu, Annie, and the other two little ones.
Since they weren’t at the Di Family residence, Xianxian and Mumu let their true personalities shine. They greeted the newcomers enthusiastically, shouting, “Godmother, Auntie Annie! Long time no see!”
Sheng Shiyu already knew about the children’s existence, but this was a first for Annie.
Seeing the four little ones who looked like they had been copy-pasted from one another, Annie stood frozen in shock.
“President Sheng, am I seeing things?”
Annie rubbed her eyes, unable to believe what she was seeing.
“You’re not seeing things.”
Beaming, Sheng Shiyu rushed over to pull Xianxian and Mumu into a hug. “Ah, finally! This feels right. These are the Xianxian and Mumu I know!”
The two little ones grinned at Sheng Shiyu.
Mumu gave her an affectionate peck on the cheek and asked in a sweet, milky voice, “Godmother, did you miss us?”
“I did! Of course I did! Hundreds of times a day!”
Sheng Shiyu replied with playful exaggeration.
Nan Zhiyi couldn’t help but laugh.
Annie couldn’t hold back any longer and quickly asked, “What’s going on here?”
How did the two little ones suddenly become the Four Little Ones?
“It’s a long story.”
Sheng Shiyu was in high spirits. She turned to explain the situation to Annie, mentioning how the other two children had been raised in the Di Family.
Annie was stunned after hearing the whole story!
She had known about Aletta losing two children back then. She never expected that the other two little ones were actually alive!
Deeply moved, Annie could only manage three words: “That’s so wonderful!”
Nan Zhiyi knew exactly why Annie was so emotional. She nodded and said with a smile, “Yes, it really is…”
The goal for today was to take the children out to play. After meeting up with Sheng Shiyu and Annie, the group headed straight into the park.
Once inside, they went through ticket inspection.
Hengheng and Wanwan were here for the first time, their eyes sparkling with anticipation and excitement. Xianxian and Mumu felt the same way; after all, this was their first time at Ocean Park since returning to the country.
The Four Little Ones held hands, finding everything they saw novel and exciting.
During the morning, Nan Zhiyi took them to the aquarium to see the fish. The variety of aquatic life had the Four Little Ones gasping in wonder!
“Mommy, look! That fish is huge!”
Mumu shouted excitedly. Wanwan, whom she was holding hands with, also widened her eyes in surprise and delight.
“Sister, look! That one looks like a flower and it glows! It’s so pretty!”
“That’s a jellyfish. It’s a very rare species,” Hengheng said from the side, his beautiful eyes also filled with irrepressible excitement.
They had only ever seen these things in books or on TV. Their daddy was always too busy and had never taken them to see them in person!
After touring the aquarium, Nan Zhiyi took the thrilled Four Little Ones to watch the sea lion and dolphin shows.
During the dolphin show, there was an interactive segment with the audience. Wanwan was a bit shy and didn’t dare go down, but Mumu wasn’t afraid at all. She followed her brothers to interact with the dolphins.
The morning passed by quickly.
“Shall we go to the Water Theme Restaurant for lunch?”
Nan Zhiyi asked the Four Little Ones while checking a travel guide on her phone. Before leaving the house that morning, she had already planned out their route. After lunch, she would take the children to see the rest of the attractions.
“Okay!”
“I’m in!”
“Whatever Mommy decides is fine.”
Wanwan couldn’t speak, but she nodded her little head happily as well.
The Four Little Ones were exceptionally well-behaved. Nan Zhiyi took them to a Water Theme Restaurant for a meal.
There was plenty of fresh seafood, which absolutely delighted little Mumu.
Since she usually lived with her daddy, she rarely got to eat as much as she wanted.
Nan Zhiyi understood her little foodie’s heart. She peeled shrimp for Mumu and carefully deboned the fish for Wanwan, who could only eat softer foods.
It was a meal that left everyone satisfied.
In the afternoon, Nan Zhiyi, Sheng Shiyu, and Annie took the children to the Water Park to enjoy various attractions and explore some adventure-themed projects.
With three adults and four little ones, they had the time of their lives…
In the blink of an eye, the day passed. As evening approached and the sun dipped toward the horizon, painting the sky with fiery clouds, the children’s spirits hadn’t dampened in the slightest.
“There’s still so much fun stuff over there! Let’s go!”
Xianxian held his siblings’ hands, clearly not ready for the day to end.
Nan Zhiyi followed behind them and quickly shut down the suggestion. “Stop! No more. That’s it for today! It’s getting late, and Great-Grandfather and Great-Grandmother are waiting for us at home.”
After a full day, the four children were still buzzing with excitement, but Nan Zhiyi, Sheng Shiyu, and Annie-who weren’t exactly the most athletic types-were exhausted.
Besides, Old Master Di was waiting at home, and Nan Zhiyi didn’t dare bring the children back too late.
“Okay then.”
Xianxian obeyed his mommy, though a hint of regret lingered on his small face.
Mumu looked back at Ocean Park and sighed. “Time is so short. The whole day is already gone.”
She really wanted to keep playing with her mommy, her brothers, and her sister. Today had been so wonderful!
The little girl’s eyes were full of longing, looking as if she wanted to move in permanently.
Seeing this, Nan Zhiyi reached out and pinched her chubby little cheek, comforting her, “There will be plenty of chances in the future. Mommy will bring you out again next time, okay?”
The Four Little Ones nodded obediently and chimed in, “Okay!”
Wanwan had also enjoyed herself to the fullest today. She let out a soft, “Mm.”
It was a very short syllable, but it sounded incredibly sweet and milky.
Nan Zhiyi didn’t react at first.
A second later, she pulled Wanwan into a surprised and joyful hug. “Wanwan, did you just speak?”
Nan Zhiyi wasn’t entirely sure. She hoped it wasn’t an auditory hallucination, but she was certain she had heard Wanwan make a sound!
Hengheng was also pleasantly surprised.
He had heard it too and told his mommy excitedly, “Wanwan did speak!”
Sheng Shiyu stood nearby and squealed with excitement, “Zhizhi, you didn’t hear wrong! Baby Wanwan’s little voice is just too cute! It sounded like a tiny kitten purring…”
Her heart was absolutely melting!
Wanwan felt a bit shy and buried her little head in her mommy’s neck.
Nan Zhiyi was overwhelmed with happiness. She held Wanwan tight and couldn’t help but praise her, “You’re so brave, baby. Promise Mommy that you’ll try to speak more from now on, okay?”
Wanwan blinked her large, watery eyes and nodded shyly.
Nan Zhiyi’s heart turned into a puddle of mush.
Mumu also hopped around happily, grabbing Wanwan’s hand. “Sister, you have to start talking soon! That way, I can share all my secrets with you!”
Watching the four children get along so well, Annie marveled inwardly. Siblings born from the same womb really did have a special bond.
Even after being apart for so many years, the Four Little Ones could be this close. If they had never been separated, their bond would likely be even stronger…
