Seven Years of Lies, I Ruined His Life - Chapter 26
Perhaps seeing me, the man decided to leave.
“No, no, it’s fine. Call me if you need anything else.”
“Boss Guan, you seem busy.”
Boss Guan?
“What does ‘Boss Guan’ mean? You opened this shop?”
I asked in surprise.
I had thought Guan Qin was here to help out, to work, but I never imagined she was the owner.
Guan Qin nodded.
She glanced at the time. “Let me make you a bowl of wontons.”
As she spoke, she was already heading into the kitchen.
I stood at the counter, unsure whether to stay or go.
I finally chose a seat by the window.
The shop wasn’t very big.
Compared to Yu Qing’s place, it was lacking in size, decor, and location.
By the time Guan Qin brought the wontons to my table, I had already looked over the entire place.
“So this is what you’ve been busy with?” I asked her.
Guan Qin sat down across from me and grunted in affirmation.
The wontons were delicious, just a bit hot.
I asked Guan Qin, “I waited for you at home for half the day. Don’t you want to know what I wanted to talk to you about?”
I deliberately tried to build suspense.
I didn’t want to tell her directly that I planned to remarry her.
But I never expected Guan Qin to shake her head.
She even told me, “Jiang Yongliang, we’re already over.”
