Seven Years of Lies, I Ruined His Life - Chapter 25
When I arrived, my friend was watching from a distance.
He waved me over. “I just came from Yu Qing’s shop and saw Sister-in-law.”
Yu Qing?
How did he know Yu Qing?
I stared at my friend for a long time. “You know Yu Qing?”
My friend was taken aback and gave a dry laugh.
He said he had met Yu Qing when he went to the mall to buy a gift for his girlfriend.
They added each other on WeChat, and when he saw me liking Yu Qing’s posts, he chatted with her a bit more.
I managed to compose myself and offered an explanation, “She’s an old high school classmate.”
Then I turned my attention to the wonton shop my friend was pointing at.
I remembered the flyer: grand opening on Saturday.
The shop was already decorated.
A man was standing on a ladder, seemingly fixing a light bulb.
Guan Qin was looking up at him, her face tense, holding the ladder steady with both hands.
I clapped my friend on the arm and said, “Thanks.”
Then I rushed into the wonton shop.
I had never imagined Guan Qin expressing affection for another man.
Even if it was just simple concern.
“Guan Qin!”
“What are you two doing!”
Seeing me, Guan Qin frowned, as if I shouldn’t have appeared.
She went behind the counter, poured a glass of water, and handed it to the man.
“Brother Zhang, thank you for your hard work.”
“Let me go make you a bowl of wontons.”
