The job market in 2022 was bleak.

It was during this time that the newly graduated Zhang Zhaodi came to find me.

“Aunt Lin, Uncle said if I can’t find a job soon, I’ll have to go back to my hometown to get married and use the bride price to support my brother.”

The café was bustling with people, many of whom turned to look.

According to the initial agreement, I was only supposed to support her until she graduated from university.
