My Future Husband Wasn't Who I Thought - Chapter 22
Later, after quite some time, I saw Gavin once again.
At that time, I was with Tommy, strolling down the street to grab some snacks.
Unconsciously, we were drawn to the aroma of Fried Pickles wafting from the street corner.
I scanned the code and discovered that the person selling Fried Pickles from a small cart was Gavin.
He recognized me too, with a bitter expression, and started rambling about how his company had tax issues, most of his clients had left, and finally, the finance department had directly taken off with his remaining funds.
He had closed the company but was left heavily in debt.
In the end, this scoundrel even tried to pua me, but unfortunately, he no longer had the charm he once did.
I forced down my disgust and said, “Don’t worry, when I get back, I’ll definitely think of a way to help you.”
Once I walked away, I immediately made a phone call, “Hello, I’d like to report someone operating without a license here.”
Watching Gavin’s cart being confiscated by the city management, I shed tears of sorrow.
What a pity for my Fried Pickles.
“Bringing Tommy to eat junk food again.”
Just as Tommy and I were hiding in the crowd watching the commotion, Jonathan arrived and caught us red-handed.
I chuckled, “We didn’t eat, we’re just watching the fun.”
Tommy echoed me repeatedly, “Yes, yes, Mom and I didn’t eat Loaded Fries, Fried Chicken Tenders, Onion Rings.”
Tommy, this kid, has been clever since he was little.
Jonathan looked at us helplessly and said, “Next time, tell me what you want to eat, it’s not clean outside.”
I nodded while picking dishes.
As the city lights began to glow, the family of three slowly walked home.
