Chapter 11
At the kindergarten entrance.
Teachers were leading groups of little ones.
Children seem to have a special ability during their early years; they can spot their parents in a crowd instantly.
Tommy’s eyes lit up when he saw me, waddling over like a little duckling.
He looked up, his cheeks flushed, and said, “Thank you, Mommy, for picking me up.”
My heart instantly melted, “From now on, Mommy will pick you up from school every day, okay?”
“Can you also drop me off in the morning?”
I shook my head firmly, My boy, Mommy can’t get up in the morning.
At that moment, a little girl ran over, looked at me, and asked, “Auntie, are you Thomas’s mom?”
I nodded.
The little girl sized me up and praised, “Auntie, you’re really pretty. But why have you never picked up Thomas before? The kids in class say you don’t like Thomas.”
Before I could speak, Tommy clutched my clothes tightly and said a bit angrily, “Don’t say that, Mommy likes me!”
The little girl looked at me, then at Tommy, somewhat at a loss.
I quickly reassured them.
After returning home, I noticed Tommy seemed a bit down, so I bought him lots of snacks I love and promised to give him a big gift on his birthday.
Tommy looked at me with some anticipation and said, “That’s great! Daddy also said he would come back.”
Oh dear…
I just saw the love letter today, and I haven’t figured out how to face Jonathan yet, and he’s coming back?
